I have the 'K' version of this watch but in real life it has a brownish tint which isn't visible in pictures and not sure if it is just mine or all look like it.

Great watch and design. My question is , why are there so many different model numbers for this watch or why so many that look almost like this one made by Seiko. I wish Seiko named these watches bc it’s very easy to buy the wrong watch. I saw a bunch of SNXS79 list on eBay and it had a black day and date and different markers and red seconds hand. Are those fakes and of jot, why do the 2 different looking watch have the same number?!

This one has 21 jewels printed on the dial, which doesn't appear on several other videos. Is it have something to do with this being Japan made? As I know Seiko has manufacturing facility in other countries like Malaysia.

different model, they have J1, K1 and also just SNXS79 which is the one you are refrerring to I think, that one has different chain and doesnt say 21 Jewels

First thing to do on every Seiko 5 is the change of the strap. The one supplied is really poor. If you try with a leather strap this watch becomes fantastic!

Hello, i bought an snxs79 with the "21 jewels" and "made in japan" indications on the dial, but those are missing in the back cover. Is there such a version or has it been modified? Thanks

If it has Made in Japan on the dial, then it should also have Japan engraved on the rotor.

I just got my SNXS79J1 and love it. Mine came in a blue box with a white sleeve, should I be worried that it’s a fake?

I received the same box for my SNXS79K version which I think they prefer to use when sending by post as it is a smaller/lighter box. My watch does have a brown tint to the dial in different lights which is not visible in pictures. Is yours the same?
