"The Voice" is the 158th episode of the NBC sitcom Seinfeld. This was the 2nd episode for the 9th and final season.
Jerry and George mock the sounds that the stomach of Claire (Jerry's girlfriend) makes during the night, chiefly by saying "helloooo" in a loud, booming voice. Jerry envisions the belly button as the mouth and the sound the stomach makes as its voice.

This episode was so spot on. Young groups of friends all develop a collection and lexicon of inside jokes and references. It usually involves doing a voice or a character. Often it's an imitation or caricature of a teacher or some weird mutual acquaintance. It can be hilarious and addictive, but unfunny and tiresome to others. In my early 20's, my roommates and I all started speaking to one another in a weird comical voice that was based on our annoying landlord. In my teens, my classmates and I had a different voice based on a character from... well maybe I shouldnt say. Sometimes we had whole conversations in-character. I also remember becoming friends with a different group who had a silly voice, but it was based on some dude I had never met so I was more like Jerry's girlfriend in that situation and never really got it, though I never insisted that they stop, LOL.
