The trip in and of itself wasn't a mistake. She just sucked. Won't say what perfume she's wearing, gives a smug "I told you so" about the stock, and then guilts Jerry over the cheapness of the hotel (which didn't even look that cheap). Awful, awful date.

Weekend trips are relationship killers.... If you're with the wrong person. You get to see what kind of person you're with and this one confirmed the girl was just boring and bland. She gave zero attempt at conversation or finding something fun to do. When someone is like that (boy or girl) they save the other person 6 months of their life not having to wait and learn how insufferable they are.

I didn't like that woman from the get go. She seemed to have this "I'm so much better than these other women at the table" kind of attitude. And then blaming Jerry because he was having issues with his stock money for the lousy, rainy Vermont weather was just ridiculous. He dodged a bullet with that trick.

Trips like Vermont are NOT relationship killers. Both Jerry and this girl were just not right for each other but if you’re seeing a girl for only 6months or less, you shouldn’t be taking her out for a weekend trip to Vermont. 6 months for some people is enough to know they are right for each other, even enough time for them to know they want to marry each other, but for many many many of us, 6 months is way too soon to be doing all of that with someone you barely gotten to know.
