Such a special classic. It brings me lots of sweet and lovely memories from 2009 when this anime first aired. Finished the entire anime show in one sitting. LOL One thing is prominently spectacular about this anime, it has a very unique style, TOTALLY different than other shows associated to Tenchi Muyo, like Dual!!. It has really beautiful landscapes/costumes/items/character designs specially of what feels like VIctorian Era or its other close periods of time. So, a typical hotblooded shounen youngster comes into another parallel dimension, then meeting a group of very Western styled folks.

Objectively speaking, I can understand why some people dislike the show for the harem, the "flawlessly" seeming mc, and so on. However, from my personal experience and enjoyment, I got even when rewatching it multiple times; I completely agree with you. It COULD, but its still really unlikely. Do you have any idea how much story was published as manga, but never animated? All of which Masaki wants to have published, but the studio keeps telling him it's too much of a risk. You know, he actually wrote in one of the manga that Tenchi and Ryoko have a son who grows up to marry the character Masaki, who was the first empress of Jurai? But sadly, they wouldn't give him any more than one more 7-episode OVA to finish Tenchi's story, and only the WoG OVA series to cover all of Kenshi's. There's even a totally alternative timeline that is connected to the official canon timeline through the Mihoshi Special and Daughter Of Darkness, that will sadly probably never be explored again...
