But when he realized Mai's love for him is far from he imagined , he realized Mai is the only special person he can ever ask for. (By love I meant it like saying I love you to your family. Im in Asia and it's normal here.)

@@aobutafanta9267 Well Shoko doesn't really want to steal Sakuta from Mai although she really loves Sakuta. She just wanted to prevent Sakuta from dying so he can live happily. But yeah although Shoko is best girl Mai is still the best Waifu. At least for me.(I love both characters alot)

yeah you can kinda tell how her personality rubbed off on him, while at the beach with Shouko you can tell how he was really depressed, easily agitated, and had low self esteem. far from the confident and cocky Sakuta we know today.

Spoiler Alert I thought Shouko got Sakuta’s heart and through that, Shouko adapted how he spoke. At least, this is what I understood from reading the novel. If I remember correctly after Mai took the hit for Sakuta, the new Shouko-San spoke like Mai too. Fun little fact: The Shouko-san that got Mai’s heart actually married Sakuta in the future according to the novel

damn, I like how the thought provoking phrase that sakuta uttered to mai-san "I have 3 friends that I can be friends with for the rest of my life." was actually inspired by shoko-san. also, that castle building bit there with shoko-san. sakuta used that activity to have fun with koga on the beach, AND HE LOST AGAIN. bro's record is 0-2. koga's ass was like micheal jordan right there. incredible execution of CLUTCH.

No , It is from some pages of the Light Novels that explain some points of the relation of Sakuta and Shouko. Some of them in the LN are in dream shape .
