Great video! What about optical/s/pdif/toslink (what ever it's called)? I know it is not used as much but how does it compare?

***** This video was made to demonstrate common connectors used in an analog workflow. The connection types that you're referring to are digital. In analog audio the signal is transmitted as a waveform generated by a device (such as a microphone, instrument, or amplifier). It's then picked up by the receiving device and is replicated, amplified, or transmitted into sound waves through speakers. Digital signals are transmitted as a series of 0's and 1's in binary. These are typically cleaner and more reliable, still subject to interference. For these a digital encoder and decoder are required to convert the analog signals to digital signals or vice versa. In professional audio, these converters are required to interface into analog mixers and other equipment. Hope this helps. Can we find the connector to connect mixture and another wireless speaker to the mixture if it is what is that name

Hey guys I wonder if i can use your SAPT5 adapter to turn one channel of my XLR studio snake into a speaker cable. The idea is to connect the amp head from my control room to the adapter with a speaker cable, the adapter to the snake and on the live room en connect a speaker cable from the adapter to the cabinet. Is this a viable setup?

Hi Dreamoffire cr, If your stage snake is all line level XLR, then you CAN NOT send a speaker level (AMPLIFIED) signal through it. You could potentially melt the high gauge (22-25 AWG) wiring inside your snake. Amplified signals for passive speakers, i.e. speaker level signals, must be sent through low gauge (12, 14 or 16 AWG) speaker wire. Email us directly at [e-mail] if you have any questions.
