I mean, one of the fan theories brings up the fact that Uomii called Tsuda, "Flag Crusher". According to it, Tsuda and the others are stuck in a VN of sorts that end whenever he ends up with one of the girls, causing a loop. So in order escape the loop, Tsuda crushes every single flag that pops up, most of the time in form of his tsukkomi responses to everyone else's jokes.
