Hello Guys, Before buying "Collet Chuck and Spring" make sure to check the shaft diameter of your angle grinder because most of them are different.

A routing tip: When rounding edges, it's better to put the router plate on the largest side of the work piece (The flat side) rather than the edge. This will give a more consistent cut through all the edge.

hi when rounding over the edge of timber. run the router on the wide side not the edge. it is more stable and easier to control for the same rounding effect.

Hullo Sek, Very clever way to use a clapped out grinder rather than throwing it away. Being of the older generation, I had to go and have a wee dram (saying in Scotland for a small whisky) as I just about shit myself when the music started. Never the less you are a talented engineer.

How does the attachment of the collet chuck hold up? Does it run true? If this is this simple, I have to try myself. Bigger grinders have 8mm shaft, should be able to get a chuck for that too.
@SekAustria7 жыл бұрын
there's a 8mm tailhole collet chuck available on banggood, be careful making this project it might get very dangerous if careless, use a variable switch if your angle grinder doesn't have one.

most routers unless they're very big just have one speed. That is 22,000-30,000 RPM.
