Love how the abbot figured out that his creatures only follow him cause they think there supposed to and not because they are bound to. This is when he realized he had no control over them as drolta fully ignores him. He pretty much made a deal with no way to profit on it as drolta along can kill his creatures. The fact that he wasn't an actual forgemaster, just someone who made a deal for a machine, is what I think makes his night creatures able to rebel against him. Because this would never happen to Isaac nor Hector. This guy made a deal that meant that he would loose anyway just because he did not like anybody that was contending for power. What a looser.

I did not consider that! I thought it was super weird how the night creatures seem to have more autonomy than the ones in the last series, but that's because they aren't made the same way like Isaac or Hector made them. Like you said, they only follow because that's what they think they have to do.

@ravinercf5 күн бұрын
When making a nightcreature they can come back with their soul like what happened to eduard and the captain of the revolutionary army
@QilinRider215 күн бұрын
It would depend on the instrument the forgemaster used to create the night creature. Unlike the original series where Isaac and Hector used personal items like their dagger and hammer respectively to harness their magic to create the night creatures, Abbot Emmanuel uses a machine that came directly from hell with it's own magic. One would venture to guess that the machine is far superior wherein it brings back the soul to the body and merges it with the soul of a demon in a way to where the night creature regains their mental clarity and their memories from their previous lives.
@leonre36775 күн бұрын

@@leonre3677not really, in the original series we have fly eyes, the night creature Issac talks to in season 3 who retained some of his human life, and that’s much the same case here, the only different being this machine just seems to make it more common for that retaining to happen

I don't see how anyone can hate the Abbott when it's clear he has no agency. He loses no matter what especially since Maria promised him that the revolution would burn down all the churches.
@QilinRider215 күн бұрын
The Abbot had agency, he had agency when he chose to side with Erzsebet because he truly believed himself to be a servant of God using the tools of hell to crush the revolution.
@kendramark18724 күн бұрын
I dislike the Abbot because at the end of the day he's a cowardly, power hungry hypocrite. He has plenty of agency before he reaches this point of no return. He says everything he does is for the will of God, but its actual to maintain his own power and influence. He's a direct parallel to the Bishop of Gesit in the first series. He has a sexual relationship with Tera resulting with her getting pregnant with Maria, he creates the night creatures for the vampires because if the aristocrats are overthrown his power is gone, and proceeds to kidnap his own daughter to be sacrifice to the vampire queen and does nothing to save her, etc. Does he have good traits lying behind the issues? Sure. But nothing about the MANY decisions that led to this was godly or justifiable; he is a horrible person who hides behind the good book to atone for his actions.
@sonozaki00002 күн бұрын
Churches are just buildings, the meaning they have are what the worshipers within give them. And by working with Erzsebet, the Abbot risked subjecting those worshipers to a lifetime of demonic horrors and more likely to become a vampire against their will. Many worshipers of religions have been ousted from their homes and churches, should they have all made a deal with evil to get them back? No. You pray and fight back yourself, or find another way to recover. Or die and meet God while trying. There's a clear line and he crossed it.
