I love how Sekiro is one of the few games where you can enter the "flow" mind state both modding and playing the game.

Apologies for the poor quality, needed better frame consistency than 1440p Played at 1080p but set Shadowplay recording resolution to "In-Game" and it somehow came out as 720p... -_- lesson learned

Extremely well done. I've been fighting this Isshin for a while now and I am about to give up. Did you have trouble with inconsistency in deflect timings? Sometimes I get hit and it just doesn't feel like I missed the deflect timing. This happens a lot after Sekiro uses the roundhouse slash and then needs to deflect straight after. Seems like Sekiro can get stuck in his attack animation and does not recover properly. And I know how to buffer the input. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not, even though I am using the same timings. I got a practice run video on my channel, if you have time to take a look. You can see a get clipped by the same 3 hit combo in phase 1. Also how do you deflect 3:26? Because you always needs to input buffer a deflect after his starting 4 hit combo in case he does the very fast strike. The delayed strike there is so tough. Some advice would be much appreciated.

Yeah not a fan of the roundhouse slash attack (so I try to avoid attacking whilst I'm running unless I know it's safe) > Also how do you deflect 3:26? What is up with that little hop to the right at 0:47? Does this need to be perfect down to a single frame? Sure feels like it. Many times I feel like I have the timing down and then all of a sudden I keep getting insta killed. What do you look for when timing it? I was trying to look for the wind that accumulates. He seems to strike right after that animation. In addition, I have absolutely no issue deflecting the same attack. That seems reliable. I am also curious at what framerate you play. Do you play at the standard capped 60 fps? I always played the game at 60 fps, but a little while back I used the frame unlocker. Everything feels more responsive and smooth, but I also noticed that I need far more precision in the timings. Maybe that's why some things became near impossible.

I guess I'm just used to the timing, don't think I look for anything visually. I will say I've died to that a few times, there were some moments where after hitting (before hopping to the right), I didn't actually have time to dodge to the right and hence died. I guess it's a variation on the phase 2 moveset with 1 added strike at the end. And did you know you can cancel his spear slam? So strange: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZOYg4ecd6-Sd7s Same thing happened during his perilous spear thrust. I accidently attacked him and he got stunned. Unfortunately no footage.

@@_qu1xotic that one isn't deflectable (unless you somehow know it's coming and use umbrella, haven't tried), it's a bug that the dev hasn't fixed. Just have to pray it doesn't show up LOL (Phase 3 only) Ah nice cancel, good aggression 😂think I've done it before but rarely, little risky

So I got one question my man. How do you deal with his ultimate isshin sword drop ? He just randomly does it to me sometimes after his flying spear attack...... I do not understand 😮 Oh Good Stuff BTW. Very masterful.

@@stanleydesu Unfortunately its not that one. He actually does it right after the unannounced Kanji jump spear attack. It adds a curse, you can't parry it or get away from it.......I think. Which is why I asked.

@@RawShinoB sorry, still unsure which move. Does it give the bleed curse (purple)? Can think of 3 moves that give bleed curse, one you can mikiri (midair spear thrust), one is ground sweep so jump, last one you dash through it (orange vfx) Do you have a clip of the move? How is it related to ultimate isshin sword drop?

@@stanleydesu I will have to clip it then. It happens with the sword drop. X shaped ?wind? attack comes out, right as the sword drops. Don't think you can dodge it. Curse attached. RNG so not everytime,I don't see it in any of your videos obviously.

I tried this for the first time today. Every time I go into a reflection fight, it says ?place name? and insta kills me. I don’t really know what’s happening, but I can’t play until I figure that out.🫠 nice run.

@@vmanjr.1510 if you're using the nexus upload of JiDao, I think you should switch to a google drive version since the nexus is weird I've heard (not even sure what version it is, but it's old) e.g. what I linked in the description should be 2.1 the latest (I also have a 2.0/1.1 video with links), or you can search other player's fights against JiDao and check their descriptions

@@stanleydesu Oh I meant I played that version first. Then I downloaded the 2.1 from Google Drive. 2.1 is the one giving issues. I dunno, I’ll keep trying to figure out the issue.
