The new Sekiro update came out yesterday! For those that don't know, it added some new outfits, online player messages, boss refights, and most exciting of all, boss rush gauntlets! There's 4 gauntlets available. This one is the "Mortal Journey" gauntlet, unlocked by beating the other 3 gauntlets. It's basically all 3 of the others combined, plus the bosses that weren't in any of those for a total of 17 fights in a row. - No Kuro's Charm makes me take more damage, including chip damage on blocks. It also gives enemies more HP and posture. - Demon Bell also makes me take more damage, as well as giving enemies greater damage resistance. As far as I'm aware, the gauntlets are entirely separate from NG cycles (your damage is scaled to match each boss instead), so this is as hard as it gets!

For Inner Genichiro's Sakura Dance, if you don't know, if it is not deflected, it will do chip damage even when blocked so if you are struggling to deflect Sakura Dance, just use the Loaded Umbrella to block it. You won't take chip damage if you block with the umbrella

Dude the mid air deflect into thrust counter fighting inner isshin is so fun to do

For inner isshin there are 2 moves that were hard to reliably counter for me: his mortal blade 1st phase and slash+slice+thrust in spear phases. For mortal blade, fire mist prosthetic counters it easily. For the spear combo, you can deflect his 2nd attack midair which lets you mikiri the thrust. Just wanted to share because in the video Aggy had trouble with them as well.

You can use the purple umbrella for the mortal blade's slashes. It completely negates the dmg.

I think for Inner Isshin's new move where he sweeps, uppercuts and thrusts is meant to be you using the aerial Deflect skill for the first time in the whole game. Everyone keeps getting hit by the uppercut and rolling away from the thrust but i think thats the only use i can think of for the aerial deflect, which is why it doesn't really come to mind. Jump, deflect, mikiri.

Yeah I think like, that is meant to out you off, since by muscle memory, you'd always try to stomp off the enemy's head to counter a sweep, but in this case if you do that you're gonna get hit. I think it's pretty cool tbh.

you can the dust cloud Great Shinobi Owl creates pretty easily and it can lead to unlocked attack chains if you attack with a slight delay after it (so you don't do a dash attack)

this dude had godly RNG with the inner isshin fight, every time i fought him, phase 2 was just constant unblockable sweep into up swing into jump stab and it was pain, but at least that made me learn how to counter that attack: Jump, parry in mid air, then mikiri counter. Makes you feel like a god once you get the hang of it. Also is it just me or is Inner Father the best fight of the 3?

i tried the guanlets recently and it awakens my inner demon whenever my back is to the wall against these bosses. i expend all my heal items against father and somehow starts perfect parrying his attacks and then when i forgot to rest for the the next fight, WHICH WAS DEMON OF HATRED, and somehow still won.....these boss rushes are super satisfying to push through and i hope fromsoft keeps re-using these rushes in future installments.

Aggy for inner isshin is suggest when the battle first starts hit him with a charged sword then back up then after he does the first move rush him again and get some more hits

And for his second bar of health, his new move can be dodge it by standing still when you see the Japanese characters then when he charges you step dodge backwards and from hear it can turn into two different moves a thrust attack or a 360 slash attack. The thrust attack can be mikuri countered, and the slash attack can be stepped dodged for free attacks. Thought this could help

Aggy is great, but tbh I think ONGBAL would destroy Aggy. ONGBAL'S skill is matched by few. Also, keep in mind Aggy is more of a speedrunner, he uses speedrun and often cheese strats to beat enemies/bosses. On the other hand, ONGBAL is more of a person who's mastered the game.

How does this work. I understand you get main 3 with getting the endings. And then the final gauntlet by beating those 3 But this said it was all bosses in a row and your reseting after each one? Can you come back to this? Or is it beat one move up to the next. If you lose start over, and then item/health reset between "levels" If so wouldnt it be ultimate difficulty if it was back to back with no health/item reset?

just recorded it- genichiro can 100% redirect a sakura shot back to you... which is a guarantee to be hit because sakura takes too long- before you even hit the ground you're hit with the lightning you just redirected... rare but it can happen whether or not its a glitch is anyones guess.

Just yesterday I played around with it and fought like this: When he starts a lightning attack, I immediately run backwards to get some distance. Sakura Dance his lightning attack. Since I'm far enough away that my Sakura Dance itself doesn't hit him, he can reflect the lightning. The timing is tight, but with buffered input, I can then easily do another Sakura Dance for a final redirect. I've done it several times.

It's not a glitch. It's an intended mechanic in Inner Geni's AI. How it works is that there is a certain distance uptil where Genichiro cannot reflect Sakura Dance. If you're farther than that minimum distance, he will reverse the Sakura Dance. You gotta be within a certain distance for him to not reverse Sakura Dance reversal.

If you do empowered mortal draw from air, it has the charge time of regular mortal draw but the damage of a fully charged empowered mortal draw, including the second attack after landing. Source: Just looked it up because I was wondering the same thing

You have to complete the shura gauntlet. To unlock the gauntlet you need to kill Isshin Ashina and Demon of Hatred on the same save file
