The three monkys are called by "Mizaru" "Kikazaru" "Iwazaru". 「見猿」「聞か猿」「言わ猿」 About "Mizaru" , mean of name is "don't look". About "Kikazaru" ,mean of name is "don't listen". About "Iwazaru" ,mean of name is "don't say". why do so many people struggle to understand that it's a puzzle fight not a chase fight? the guy near the beginning pretty much outright tells you that chasing the monkeys doesn't work and even a little exploration of the area will give you some good clues on how to beat them.

After all, “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil, do no evil” exists in the world of philosophical meaning, which I think was clever of FromSoftware to utilize here.

I don't see why this had to be a boss fight, I mean, there is no real fight here, you just got to kill the monkeys and they hardly fight back, at least in similar fights like Micolash, he eventually faces you, with cheap and annoying tactics, but he does it. Or the deacons of the deep that are actually trying to kill you. This "boss" here should've been a puzzle section instead.

Which is totally what this fight gets its origins from; I didn’t know about this at first, but it was very clever of FromSoft to do. I think people make a big fuss about the Folding Screen Monkeys being one of the worst bosses when they’re looking from a design standpoint or how well the fight stacks up.
