The fact that the jet torpedo planes of the IJN Super-Carrier just drop 4 regular torps instead of the usual 2 it's a solid mathematical demonstration of how brutal Hakuryū used to be back in the day.

I still miss the old "flying Shima" setup. You see 4 torp planes taking off to the skys and you just now that 12 fishes are comming your way.

its literally flying destroyer. One attack equals 2 regular Japs DD Torp Damage, and you got 3 chance per flight. That Hakuryu gameplay with 550k still GOAT for me.

Dalarna is literally the bane of all CV. If a no-fly zone ever existed in this game, that will be above Dalarna's airspace.

So she’s basically like Dalarna: a slightly improved version of the TX. Shame it makes her underpowered in comparison to other Super CVs as that is really what all Super Ships should’ve been. But instead you have this huge imbalance with some being essentially T12 or even T13 in power.

Agreed, CV's already feel disproportionately powered against same tier ships since tier 6 and tier 8 CVs would struggle even harder against uptiers, so tier X CVs already feel strong being essentially top tier all the time. Why was there ever even a need for super CVs at all

I had a chance to test this ship on the test server and so far, its actually a good carrier! tactical attack aircraft are not excellent tho but the tactical torpedo bombers are very good! fast and hard hitting torps. And the standart squadron are the same as the Hakuryu so nothing to say about them...

your Satsuma might have saved your hide a couple times, for sure he clenched the win with an unselfish CV player. the way you farmed down that poor Satsuma made me feel bad for the guy... like im sure i would have been in the white chat saying "im so sorry dude, just playing this thing the best i know how " -least you gave him a compliment for not shouting obscenities

I just don't get why they didn't use the CV Shinano as the super CV

Because Shinano wasnt a proper carrier. Her role was to ferry planes to Land bases and fleet carriers. Her own air group was tiny and only existed for self defense. Looking at the facts, she doesn't make sense to add as a follow up to Hakuryu, which is based on Taiho, a proper fleet carrier.

IJN SEKIRYU and IJN HAKURYU needs at least a little bit buff make IJN HAKURYU's Torpedo Bombers and Dive Bombers a 3 Attack Flight set up (4 Planes per Attack Run) but a wider spread of Torpedoes and Bombs (but the Aiming Time is slightly fast) on IJN SEKIRYU, add at least 1 Plane on Tactical Planes with a little damage increase. Edit: (some people say this buff is a huge buff so.....I have no words to say)
