Pretty much. However, Sekiryu and Hakuryu were based on an upgraded version of Taihou's design and all 3 displaced around 36,000 tons. Shinano displaced close to her sister ships Yamato and Musashi's 70,000 tons.

The real Shinano was big and super armored for a carrier. But she wouldnt have actually made a good carrier due to 1. Low speed, 2. Babettes and supporting structure for the triple triple 18.1 guns were already installed, messing up the conversion to CV.

@@keithw4920 Honestly with the proposals for a support carrier tree I wonder if Shinano is going to end up being a Tier 10/11 Support carrier instead. Since she was never intended to be a fleet carrier but rather was an aircraft ferry.

Because WG cant be bothered writing something new. They just copy pasted the existing Haku build. For Haku , ther 4 torp strike for which she was balanced arround was removed because it was brutally OP with way to much damage. If this thing is given that FP , the people will just riot. Standard torp planes doing 45-50k damage a run.

TBH, this thing looks like crap. No JATO boosters. No jet bombers. Long tac sqdr reload time. Less plane HP. It looks worse than US or even Eagle in every possible aspect...

@@danh7411 I know (in fact, top25 CV player on my server). But US is simply... Better? This thing does not provide any significant benefit over Haku (which is, to say the least, not the best CV even as it is) while still counting as T11. I can't imagine it being able to pull 180k avg dmg w/70% WR like United States. And if so, what's the point of playing this? When announced, I expected it to have jet APDBs as main gimmick. But in current configuration it is just... Inferior when compared with other two T11s.

@@disketa25 uhh no, Haku *is* the best tier 10 carrier, and Sekiryu enhances Haku's main strength which is torp and you guessed it, make it easily the best super cv.

The jet torps are the best of the T11s. Super tight spread, fast and big damage. Look at the 5 min mark. Just 3 hit of 4 and 22k dam. On a Yamato with the biggest torp negation in game.

@@keithw4920 But US torps reload faster and carry more punch. Like 100% flood chance per drop. Which, when used properly, allows to milk just insane amounts of dmg *reliably* . US is just a god tier CV when used properly.
