Started touring the bluegrass genre in the early 70’s when i was about 4 years old and we could walk from tour bus to bus and talk to the the great John Duffy, Charlie Waller, Stanley bros. I was a starry eyed little boy to shy to let go of my mammas leg but i remember the greats from Glory Land Park down to East Tn Where i call home now. The best life ever traveling the east coast listening to legends. Smelling bacon cooking on our ole wood stove and mammas voice in perfect sync when listening on the 8 tracks in our ole TN shack

Thanks for this. Been at many festivals across the country, the Martin and I. Seldom Scene and the Gents were the biggest draw for me, true professionals, all of 'em. Could jam around the campfires, and often some of the pros would join us. Heh, I'd jam all night, listening and learning. I miss those days. Again, thanky for posting this, listening a third time now.

I learned to sing tenor by listening to Duffy. Never reached his standard, but I learned a lot. "Wait a Minute" , an absolute classic.

Any guitar nerd should study mike auldridge's playing from about 1:11. Phenomenal, but then the whole band is.

I got to set back stage with Duffy and Tony Rice. They insisted i was there first. I was, waiting on them. I heard things i won't soon forget. For a young musician, I was blown away.

Haven't heard these guys since 1970s at Wolf Trap, so for me they really are the Seldom Scene.🎵🎵

Base player did a great job I remember the original that said he would rather eat a bucket of mud than play an electric bass. Great job Wow I miss the old days and the great music .
