Nice, but you just weakened the stairs. There is a reason why they put a stud wall under them. Over time, on that long of a span, they will begin to sag.

Except, he added even more wood, in a more structurally stable formation than the stud wall (literally a giant triangle, the best way to divide stress over a ramp) looks at the mechanics before you judge it 🙄
