I know the video is a bit older now, but curious if there's a good place to look at a list of the whole cast broken down into their "typical" category - all point characters, all support, all anchors? To your point there will be overlap, but a list/chart like that would be great for picking out a lineup now that this video has taught me these roles :) I could definitely see starting with Wolverine as my point, and I think Virgil would be a fun anchor - I do like Strider and Dante so I guess those would be my top assist candidates from the video, at least. I do like playing x-23 and spiderman as well, not sure if they fill any of these roles particularly well? Chun and Ryu are great too, but I honestly don't know how viable they are in this game. Anyhoo, no more rambling from me. Thanks for the video!

I dont know any videos in mind but it could be something we can do in the future when we have free time. Wolvy/Dante/Vergil is a pretty decent team to work with. Btw

I am just getting into this game today, so I could be totally misleading you, but I have been looking at the eventhubs tierlist to get a sense of their roles. They have the characters broken down by: Solo, w/ assist, and as assist. I'm guessing that translates roughly to the categories anchor, point, and support.

I haven't even launched this game yet, but I am gonna try it out today in 2022 for the first time. I want to use characters that I like. I'm currently thinking about Wolverine, Strange, Akuma. Is that a coherent team comp? Other characters I like: Magneto, Phoenix, Rocket Raccoon, Iron Man. I'm wondering if there are any cool interactions that would make more sense. Iron Man is probably my favorite, but everything I am seeing says he's pretty bad so I am more inclined to pick Strange as my support. Also, Magneto is considered one of the best, but I don't like him as much as some of the others that I picked. But I also have no idea what I'm talking about haha, so any help would be awesome!

Dr. doom is my favorite marvel villain so im trying to make two teams with him so I can play all the characters that I want to play. Team 1 is iron fist, Dr. doom, akuma Team 2 is chun li or captain America, haven’t decided on the point character yet, Dr. Doom, Super skrull Any pointers, especially on which assists I should use, would be appreciated

Hmmm maybe switch x-23 with ryu. She has an otg assist that can help Ryu with combos and shes a better anchor.

Playing other tag fighting games such as Dragon Ball FighterZ, Power Rangers Battle for the Grid even BlazBlue cross tag. I'm no stranger to the genre of said fighting game but MvC is a whole other beast. 2 of these games are "successors" to MvC or inspired by its roots. The game is just different from playing the other games that I'm used to doing normal stuff in those games along with everything else especially movement in the game. It is kind of fun at times though even if I get beat like 90% percent of the time. I love playing Arthur as he's a zoner yes, but in a Classic Knight Character which I'm all for playing him as Anchor cus GA+XF= stupid damage/chip but haven't found two other to fill the team for a point or a mid.

Arthur is definitely a weird character cuz I've seen him on a bunch of different teams. You definitely have the right idea putting him in anchor tho. Just gotta play around with the cast and see what fits

@@ontimeslackers5653 I like playing Arthur Anchor. While I like building a team around him but found That his assist is pretty good and in the end I like playing him as my last character that I'm loving using be my last before I go out or bring a comeback.

I think hes versatile. He's pretty good on point with assists like Drones and varja. However he can be played mid and anchor because of his pick up assist and he's a decent xfactor anchor. He's a bit of a master of none since alot of characters can do what he does but better. Easy character to pick up but hard to play against super cheap teams

I play Dante, Morrigan, and Trish.. how do you suggest I arrange them?

Trish/Morrigan/Dante. IMO Trish is a pretty decent point character. You have both the morrigan meter building assist and j session for running away and fuzzy mixups respectively. Morrigan 2nd is really good especially if you learn the tac infinite to make up for trish lack of damage. Also if trish is low on health you can DHC into morrigan to play the long game. And Dante is the best anchor and xfactor character in that team.

Theres nothing stopping you from playing anyone you like. Alot of people made the weaker characters work. Just takes alot of training mode time. Tho random select marvel is hella fun haha

2 pieces of advice i can tell ya. - play a strong team - get ready to lose alot but learn from every loss. I believe in you!!

If you're still playing, there are some really easy characters like Nova, Wesker and Sentinel which almost play for you if you can get their basics down :3 try avoiding characters with tricky combos or tech like c.viper, modok, dante, morrigan etc. until you get more confident
