Great video, can it be recreated using a 24'x24' soft bow with a flash?, Thanks
@CameraClubLive3 ай бұрын
Almost but not quite. You cannot manipulate the flash within the soft box, with a scrim you can put the flash very close to cerate a hot spot, it is that which creates the resultant shadow effect. Thanks for watching.

As soon as I come up with $50,000 USD for one of these cameras, I will give this a go. In the meantime, I will just have to make do with a Nikon D850 and only 45MP. :)) Question: Why go for the silk screen versus any modifier in your vast collection? Does it soften the light even more or does it act like a modifier with a grid on the front but with a much tighter pattern for these close up type of shots?

I used a scrim because you cannot manipulate the flash within, say, a soft box, with a scrim you can put the flash very close to cerate a hot spot, it is that which creates the resultant shadow effect. Thanks for watching.

Is it possible to do this with a speedlight? I guess what I am really asking is what sort of modifier could be used to get the same effect with a speedlight.

An old net curtain on a frame would have a similar effect.

And now fry the mushrooms in the pan with the bacon and onions and finally add some parsley. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

The photo wasn't enough to make you hungry... your comment is no joke either. But for me those mushrooms are better grilled, with a pinch of salt...
