Hey buddy, I am talking to a Local tour. A young student. He charges $120 a day. My thinking is to have a tour to guide us in the City so that we only need to tip 1 person not 100 person and maybe 10% actually help us on something? Or donate to people who needs it not people who would sell it? What do you think about my plan? Also what should be our expectations in terms of service at the resort? Last time my girlfriend picked Dhawa without doing any research at all, my experience was staff not attentive, they can miss our request for water. They have all the money ozzing out of the drawer at the buffet. Food was horrible. In terms of service, is this the norm? I am okay to have such expectations if this is what we should expect to experience again. Reason we decide to come back is because of the beach and Cigars.

$120 is a great price. I would go for it. Our service was really good. They gave what ever we asked for at the A la Carte. At the buffet we had to get their attention sometimes but they gave us what we asked for also. Yes the reason for us also was mostly the beach & pool, anything to get away from the Canadian cold for a while. We're not big drinkers or smokers but all you can drink is always nice . Enjoy Varadero.

Not at all, but we always take Dukoral medicine before we go to Cuba or Mexico. I highly recommend taking it.
