My daughter just had a terrible experience in this resort. They are under renovations and the beach has thousands of fleas jumping around. Lots of mosquitoes. A Cuban airplane was spraying the beaches where people were. No prior warning.

@allure1968 oh no 😮 we didn't have any airplanes spraying while we were there but we were there at Easter so maybe the time of year has something to do with that. There were fleas and mosquitoes but we used Natrapel and barely had any bites at all. There were no renovations going on while we were there although they did need some. That stinks that your daughter had a horrible time. Thanks for sharing her experience in the comments so our viewers can stay up to date. Greatly appreciated.

We went to Cuba last May and had the same experiance with airplaines spraying. They did the spreying every morning aronud 7am. We were so upset because they didn't warn us. After two days being sprayed on the beach we stoped doing morning walks along the beach and stayed in our room until breakfeast. Never again Cayo Coco as they are facing serious issues with masquitoes and fleas. Next time we will go to Varadero!

Wife and I booked Memories Caribe for next sat Oct 12th. What would you rate that resort compared to other's in Cuba you've been too? And also do you know if they make Strawberry daiquiri's and those type of slushy drinks there?

Against only Cuba resorts based on the minimal shortages they had when we were there we would give it a 4. Against the rest of the Carribean a 3.5. We didn't see strawberry daiquiris there at all. Definitely recommend a supper at Lenny's off resort. Catch some nightly shows at the resort there too. They are actually pretty good! We promise you will ll LOVE the beach! @@beachbumbling I really have t found that special place that I would like to always return to yet. I’ve been to a couple resorts more than once but have not found the best place for me yet. I do however, prefer the Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo area.

@sgt-maj_smoke that can be a good thing too. We like trying different places. Not that we haven't gone back to a couple resorts before but we like to mix it up a bit. We like different things about Cayo Coco vs Varadero. You can't go wrong with the beaches at either. Thanks again for watching!

We did not see billiards there but the entertainment staff does games during the day and they have crazy games by the pool and a beach party with games at night one night. They have an activity schedule up on the wall listing the times and dates as well as they list what show is on at the theatre that night. We went to the show most nights and found it to be entertaining. You will find the activity board right across from the lobby bar. We booked with Sunwing and the diamond club was an option online when we booked. I varies quite a bit but we can tell you we paid $40 extra when we booked per person. Having said that, one of our subscribers just returned last week and paid $90 per person at the front desk. I just looked on redtag, sunwing, and selloff and saw 3 different prices so if you are booing yourself online you may want to shop around a bit. Cheapest I saw today was about $15 per day, Hope that helps. Cheers

Ugh.. Im so sad Cuba is having so many shortages, I have loved coming to Cuba for years but last few trips have been getting worse. Last year there was zero mixed drinks for a 10 day stay ..

@seanorich we have been very fortunate so far. Not too many shortages for us but we have heard from a lot of our subscribers about the shortages they have experienced. We threaded the needle on eggs apparently they didn't have them the week before we got there so we were grateful to have them.No mixed drinks for 10 days would be a deal breaker for Karen. First stop, the market for rum ..😀. The big question is will you go back to Cuba?

Well at least you are aware of the reality of shortages. We both brought bottles of vodka with us and some powdered ice tea mix and powdered Ceasar mix just in case. We plan on going back after the new year

@jjburns8762 Karen doesn't react well to Nosseum bites either. We can only speak to what we experienced while we were there at Easter. There were people with bites on there legs. We were using Natrapel and only ended up with a couple each by the end of the week. Loved Cuba when we used to go. Have wanted to see cayo coco but nothing direct from where we are in northwestern ontario😢 and do not miss the food.lol...soooo, we have been going to P.V and Bucerias last few years....Greatvids. keep up the great work

Hello! Wondering if the "à la carte " restaurants are included with the diamond club for supepr or is it an additional charge? Thanks in advance, looking foward to go😊

@arie4994 there are four a la carte restaurants on the property. Diamond club can go to all four. The Mediterranean is only for the diamond club for breakfast or supper. No charge but reservations are required. We were diamond club and when we got there they handed us a slip with reservations already made for all 4 restaurants. You can change the times but I believe you will need to wait in a line to do so. Thanks for watching the video and have a great time. Cheers
