So THIS is the interview that had BTS fans spewing misogynistic hate towards Blackpink the other day all over twitter and IG. All because they can't stand BP saying they wish to be the like the ones that came before them and open doors for others. jennie was respectful in asking the question on what they feel about kpop becoming mainstream in the us. she acknowledged all artists, without any disregard (bts included), who had been promoting overseas first before she proceeded to answer kimmy b's question. growing up she has actually seen them especially she's under the same company with psy who previously made it big in the us. she knows the doors were already opened and she wishes blackpink to be like those artists who made it happen. mentioning only bts would be utter disrespect to artists who have contributed to the western expansion of the industry where she belongs to. she respects every single effort exerted by the kpop artists before them. listing every name was unnecessary.
