If anyone would do their research Selena can sing! 2013 was legit the year she was diagnosed with lupus and she had no idea how deal with it, didn't know how to cure it, probably didn't even know what it would do to her breathing at the time. I can tell this performance is t that great but you can clearly see she is trying so hard. Selena isn't Demi or Adele, if you want someone with a really strong voice then go listen to them but Selena has such a beautiful soft voice and that has been her voice since the beginning of her career, even before she was diagnosed. If you listen to her performances in 2015/2016 she sounds so much better. Her voice is stronger because she's been treating her lupus and she's been getting things done for it. But then for some performances she doesn't sound so great because it all fluctuates. Selena tries so hard and all people can ever do is bring her down for something that isn't her fault. Spread love guys, Selena tries her best.

+Ajalinel Andales she has lupus which can affect her breathing and vocal chords. She was diagnosed in 2013 so her singing was kinda all messed up cause she didn't know really how to deal with it. She's getting better everyday. Hope that helps :)

@@dontstalkme5332 i love selena as well! My intention wasn't to shame her or anything lol. I'm glad she represented Indians too. Im even more glad that she RESPECTFULLY did this. Like she didn't just use an Indian kinda beat and acted like it was her own. She wore a bindi, which shows even more that she respected the origins of her song and tried her best to dance kinda in an Indian style way and even wore the appropriate clothes that had a tiny Indian touch to it. But in my opinion only the dance is bollywood ish. Obviously the music also sounds bollywood ish since bollywood is literally Indian traditional music but slightly changed, but i do think it's more Indian traditional music than bollywood. Especially the tabla part at the beginning. We're just gonna have to agree to disagree on that lol. I think it's more traditional Indian music cause i myself have also done lessons on Indian traditional music btw! And this is very similar to that than to bollywood

She's not an extraordinary singer, but she can sing. And point proven with you: KNIT PICKY on what counts as a good singer. With all the damn famous singers having these perfected voices, with fabulous belthing and hitting every note perfectly and everything else, anything less than that these days is automatically considered bad.
