She wrote this song after coming from a 90-day treatment for her mental health was struggling.. Her and justin bieber were together on and off from 2011-2018 pretty much. Selena has a song titled "back to you" that kind of describes their relationship when they last got together. the last time they got back together was in late 2017 and they were together till march 2018 but they were not able to make it work and it seems like no one else was on their side. Selena had a pretty bad rest of that year after he became engaged to his now wife in july and she was going through problems with her white blood cell count due to her 2017 kidney transplant. She usually doesn't do this but she went live on instagram to talk to her fans and give advice when she actually was the one struggling. By the time she released this song at the end of 2019 she was completely over it and just wanted to release it to help others who can relate. The next day she released "Look at Her Now" so that everyone would know she's okay now.

People go on and on about how she should have gotten over him and stuff just cuz HE moved on. I feel her pain. I was with my son’s father since I was 16. We broke up 22 years later cuz of his addictions. He got a gf right away trying to make me jealous I’m still not over him cuz my son is now 29 but his dad passed in 2019. I’m happy Selena got her closure. She deserves it and more.
