Thank you for the feedback! Yes, this product does cover greys and I normally do it about 4 to 6 months, but it really depends how quickly your hair grows. Sometimes I can go as long as 8 months.

Hi .i want to cover my gray hair specially infrontof of my hair . so how can i use it pls can u tell me thanks !!
@SelenaThinkingOutLoud5 жыл бұрын
Hello! If you follow this video, I will show you how to use it. Mix this product with warm water and apply it to your gray hair and the entire head and let it sit for 2 hours. Then rinse out with shampoo. It rinses better that way for me. However, I will say, if you start to use this natural hair dye, it is not recommended to use the box kind you see in your local stores like CVS, Walgreens, etc. because it may conflict with each other.

@@SelenaThinkingOutLoud What if I already have a dark brown in my hair and want to use this to dye it black? Will it take?
@SelenaThinkingOutLoud4 жыл бұрын
TheProcess Life If you already have a store-bought dye in your head, I would recommend that you let that fade out first. Once you decide to use henna/indigo plant dye it is what you have to use moving forward and the color will darken after each application.

Hi Selena, does it fade? Did you notice? I've only tried Lush henna (noir) which didn't latch onto my hair at all!
@SelenaThinkingOutLoud3 ай бұрын
I didn’t notice the color fading as far as going from a rich black color, to a dull black. However, the more you wash your hair and if you have grey hair, is how you can measure how long the color will last. I would keep this in your hair as long as you can. Sometime, I go overnight. It’s the quick dye process if you do not want to use henna first then the indigo in two separate applications. (I use Hannah Natural brand for both on Amazon) If I want to get my hair done quickly I use this product but the two-step henna and indigo process last longer to me. I use both ways depending on time and also how I feel. I haven’t heard of Lush henna so that is good to know. Best regards.

How long did you let sit on the bowl before applying to hair
@SelenaThinkingOutLoudАй бұрын
After you mix this product you want to use it immediately. You will notice that it blackens more as it sits in the bowl, but most importantly, it’s ready to be applied right after you add the warm water. I also like to add oils to it too, olive oil, etc. Happy holidays!
@2502860Ай бұрын
@SelenaThinkingOutLoud applied to hair after the mix and let it stay over an hr. I didn't wrap my head with anything. Over an hr it turned a bit black but Still some green. The results of some of the white hair turned green. I also noticed in the plastic cup the left over turned black but the inside was still green. When I stir with the spoon I can see green again.
@SelenaThinkingOutLoudАй бұрын
@@2502860 the longer you keep the mixture in your hair the more it will set. It’s okay if the mixture is still green a bit because your grey hair should tint. I have found that this product is best used over time. When I use it I like to keep it in my hair for longer than 1hr and 15 mins (75 mins), sometimes overnight. I do wrap my hair to lock in the heat so it can process faster as well. I do recommend doing this. You can use plastic wrap for this too. All the best!
@2502860Ай бұрын
@@SelenaThinkingOutLoud I did keep it over an hr may be close to 1.5hr. The mixture was already harden. I also saw a video about using indigo after applying the main mixture. What u think about that
@SelenaThinkingOutLoudАй бұрын
@ I haven’t tried Indigo after using this product so I don’t want to advise you incorrectly. Indigo is in this product already which creates the black, so I don’t think it would hurt, but I haven’t tried it that way. I use this product by itself. When I have more time, I apply henna first, let set and rinse, and then apply indigo, let set and rinse, both boxes are by Hannah Natural found on Amazon, both 100% pure.

I use Rainbow Research red henna and you /can/ dye over it fine since RR doesn't add any metallic salts, but you /cannot/ bleach out henna without severely damaging your hair. Henna is very hard to get out. There is an oil pulling method that doesn't damage but I'm not very familiar with it.

@SelenaThinkingOutLoud7 жыл бұрын
The wear is going to vary depending on how often you wash your hair and work with your hair. I wash my hair once a week and it lasted a good 3-4 months at a time for me or longer b/c my hair is already a dark brown. The black last long. If you're looking to cover up Grey hair then that will vary with how fast your hair grows. I always purchase it online so I'm not sure about locally.
