To keep a mirror (any glass really) beautifully clean, mix some liquid ammonia with cold water (roughly 1 part of ammonia to 2 parts of water), use a regular spray bottle to apply, then wipe the liquid away with lint-free cloth.

I’m moving next month and I’m so excited too! I took the past year looking for the apartment I want and also planning how to decorate and working extra hours to afford my expensive taste lol. I pretty much have everything in the carts, just need to move in and press the place order button. It’ll be my first apartment alone as well!

Suggestion- move the bookshelf into the living room across from the fridge and put your dresser where the bookshelf currently is. It will free up space on the wall it is currently on.

Your kitchen is goals! The lighting in there is so pretty! And I love the bathroom too. Living on your own for the first time is the craziest. I still just keep youtube on like all the time so I don't get freaked out lol but it's so rewarding and fun, nothing like just walking around singing whenever you want or breaking out into dance parties just cause ya can :D

I totally get you on that sofa thing haha it literally took me 5 months to find one that I liked, another 2 weeks to actually go to the store and buy it and then 6 weeks to be delivered... neverending process haha but I am super happy with it now. It is important to take time on these things and do not rush it 🛋

I use windex and it works just fine. The problem is what you wipe it with. I use scott shop towels which are fairly cheap but work amazing!

Thanks, Miguel!! 😅 for a 1 bed, it really depends on the neighborhood in DC. The further you get from Capitol Hill the more affordable (generally speaking). It’s definitely possible to live really close on the outskirts or in a less popular neighborhood (not as lively) and find a 1 bedroom well under $2k!
