00:53 I like this side-door, the fact that it opens in, no out. I was watching a walkthrough earlier where it was mentioned that the owner locked out the handles as he had once accidentally unlatched one and yep, it opened outward, a tragedy just waiting to happen.
@SeleneAmericas7 ай бұрын
Thank you for noticing. Yes, we have our boarding gates open inward to avoid issue catching on something at the docks/piers, etc and as you reference, not have pop open away from the boat if someone were to lean against an unlatched gate. We work to make sure thought goes into each feature designed and are constantly working to find ways to keep enhancing our boats.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We have the option for twins, a PTO get home (as on this boat) as well as a wing engine. We actually have this model in build with twin engines now that is available (shortened delivery time). Feel free to reach out anytime we can be of assistance and happy cruising to you.

Well founded and layed out vessel. Fit and finish in Selene boats are top notch. I am an old salt and we switched up our Hattaras sporty to a Grand Banks GB60 fly bridge. It was a good move in our older years now and we spend a ton of time cruising with family and friends in Central America and the Caribbean. That said, several requirements we had are missing on this vessel, most importantly twin power plants for safety. That is a must have for serious cruisers. We also recommend a king bed in master for long cruises but I am 6’2”. and orientation of owner’s suite is quite claustrophobic. Aft controls aft deck will be missed also. No redundant systems and range were provided but that is important. At her price point there is plenty of competition but while she is not a Grand Banks, she is still a well made yacht. Too bad the company did not show her in her best light with a more considered layout for cruisers and narrator.

@olddiver thank you for taking the time to provide a thoughtful post and nice to hear about your experiences. We build semi-custom boats and deliver the requirements of each owner. The options you mention are all available for those who desire. Also - one of us is 6'2" and in this boat you can stand in the engine room. Throughout the boat is quite spacious and open even for bigger guys. Hopefully you can come aboard and see one in person some day. Thanks again for posting and happy cruising.

Do you ever help your clients kit out a new vessel with satellite tech like Starlink or TV? Or is that something that you'd tell them has to come after the fact?
@SeleneAmericas8 ай бұрын
Thank you for the question. Our boats are truly semi-custom and we work with our customers to customize the boat with the options they desire. We would definitely help setup a system like this so at handover, it's ready for the owner (we will also provide training for the owner on their new boat and show them how to use all their systems).

Beautiful boat however the walkthrough was confusing… Was that a day head in the saloon? Was there other staterooms? You went from captains bunk to walking upstairs to the tender 🤷♂️ I’m sure other would like to see some of the areas you skipped over. Can we get a real walkthrough, no cut-outs/edits, just walkthrough and show how awesome this boat really is? Thx!
@SeleneAmericasАй бұрын
Hi - thanks for your comments and apologies if there were some parts that felt confusing. To answer your questions, no day head in the salon although this is an option. There are three staterooms, VIP forward, a second cabin with bunks and a desk and then the mid-ship owner's cabin. There is also a crew cabin aft. Here is a virtual tour where you can go through the boat and see the various spaces: www.seleneamericas.com/ocean-explorer/ocean-60#virtual-tour Thank you again for watching.

Thank you for your question. This particular boat does not have a day head next to the salon. It has three heads below. We can customize a boat for you to have a day head - feel free to reach out to info@seleneamericas.com with any questions.

Hi, thanks for checking out our Selene, high-quality, long range trawlers. Selenes are highly customizable, so if you want twin engines, we will do that for you. However, since these are full displacement boats, you are restricted by physics on how fast you can run these boats, regardless of how much horsepower that you have,. Give us a call if you want more information on the difference between, full displacement, semi-displacement and planing boats. There is a significant difference between each, with benefits and downside for each type. It all depends on what you want to do with the boat.

Beautiful boat, but such a waste of crew space, especially the lack of a decent space for the captain.
@SeleneAmericasАй бұрын
Thank you for commenting. All of the owners we speak with are operating the boats themselves so having a captain aboard is not the norm on a Selene. That said, crew quarters increase in size as you go to the 66, 72, 78 and 92 if you are looking for more space.

single engine risk

thanks for your comment. This boat has a hydraulic get-home, driven off the generator. Selenes are customizable and we can add a wing engine or you could have twin engines. most of our buyers are going single nine with hydraulic get-home. Your choice.
