I remember when we were growing up, a commercial came on TV for something called "Liquid Leather." The thumbnail of this video brought that instantly to mind. Why, yes, I am old.

Wow. Thank you. Outstanding. I’m going to use this on my ‘06 Subaru leather seats. Saves $ and great for environment. We throw away so much stuff. Has deep meaning in relation to ppl, also. God bless brother

Such a wonderful tutorial. I bout the same strip in black about a year and four months ago . Repaid a couch cushion but I first sprayed the area with spray adhesive. My young son has been rough on the cushion and it’s only lasted a year and month. I have bought the strip again and this time I am not gonna use the spray adhesive and will also give the strip 24 hours to adhere to the cushion without use .

Hi, Phil and hope yall are eating tasty treats. A few years back a neighbor got a lead on a 2nd hand Pride electric chair. I got it, had to replace the up/down control and pigtail and try ad wear it out. So far, so good except for power outages but I can flop out of it. Hope all is well and the fish are having to work overtime to replace the ones yall are dragging out. Have a wonderful week and a Jesus weekend!

Was looking for some good DIYs to repair some corner bits of a white leather couch (and chairs) that got torn up by pets. I think this is the best video I've come across so far. Watched like 4 other ones and I saw the leather didnt quite "blend in" on those. Probably cheaper than calling a furniture repair service!

This is definitely something to do to extend the life of your furniture. It's not perfect, but when you don't have a lot of money to blow, it will do. This project was for a ratty old chair that my son used in college. The funny thing is, the patch material outlasted the rest of the chair..

What color are you using? I have a couch like the one in the video and want to buy the right color. Thanks

at 0:30 in the video, I believe it says "dark Brown", however, i'm sure that's for this brand. other brands might have different names. hope this helps.

How many rolls do you think I’ll need for my sectional sofa? I prefer the size you have
@PhilCrockett26 күн бұрын
depends on surface area that needs covered. You'll have to measure it and see.

Wondering how many weeks the repair lasted?
@PhilCrockett7 ай бұрын
Funny you ask that! My son just came home from college for Thanksgiving break and I asked him how the repair was holding up. He said it is the best part of the chair. L O L! He said the rest of the chair needed some more of the patch done to the original fabric that was peeling away. I'll be honest, I was pleasantly shocked. My college boy is really hard on things which is why we gave him this old chair. We will probably buy more of this stuff and repair the rest of this old chair to get him through college..

Is there any way to blend in the edges with the old leather
@PhilCrockett5 күн бұрын
Probably just buy bigger sheets and tuck them in the sides of the cushion cracks

I bought it online. It came from Amazon. You just simply by the amount you want and the prices vary depending on how much you need

get a new chair --- you guys are really cheap
@PhilCrockett8 ай бұрын
We are not cheap, rather, we are frugal. The more money I save, the more money I can gift to those who don't have much
@BLAKEEATS19888 ай бұрын
@@PhilCrockettI agree. People are just commenting dumb stuff what you did was so smart that you can save money and buy things that's you really want instead of buying a new chair.
@Nodentity7 ай бұрын
Why? If the chair still works, why not just repair it? Our grandparents (or great-grandparents) use to do this all the time. Things were expensive so you would repair, DIY or repurpose. It saves money and landfill, stops the cost of manufacturing and shipping a giant new piece of furniture, and means you can get more cost per use from the chair.
