I have never done this before. My mother said she always did it this way and she called it hemming the quilt. I will try this way now that you have shown me.

Very informative video. I learned a lot! I've tried self binding several times and always ended up cutting the binding. Now I know why. I was trimming the batting from the front! Love the glue stick idea too. Thanks for doing his video. Happy New Year.

Those are great ideas. I've used wrap around self Binding in the past and I love the trimming from the back.

Excellent! I just ordered the ruler. I make lap quilts for Holocaust survivors, 26" x 36". This method will speed up the process and still look nice.
