The act of wrangling overwhelming emotions with language is usually what positions me to begin feeling, processing, healing, and eventually communicating. It slows everything down. I can tell that I'm moving in the right direction when I can finally write about it.

Our childlore is such a fascinating part of our culture! No one knows how we all seem know those hand games. It’s a phenomenon.. that says to me there’s some ancestral things going on there. So cool how children pass on tradition. I saw two girls playing hand games while waiting in line for a roller coaster and I was floored to see it since this young generation is more techy. It’s survived so long!

I grew up skating early; it was really a THANG!. I had those iron skates where you had to adjust the the foot gear with a metal key Lord have mercy; what great times! As a teenager the past time was going to the skating rink! Great times and so glad to know that skating is still going strong! I like to journal too. I write what I'm going through, goals, personal achievements and failures. I have some that go back a few years and sometimes I reread them. I also picked up skating. I used to skate in my younger years and had so much fun. I told myself I'm going to do everything now that I did when I was younger. I wish NY had skating rinks like ATL. NY rinks don't have the wooden floors they have rubber and it's fun but its not the same. Keep skating it's fun and you get some leg work.
