As a professional guitar player. I’d highly suggest incorporating acoustic as well into your guitar playing. The strings are a bit thicker and you’ll build up finger strength better if you start. I know electric guitar is fun and more forgiving but if you’re starting out I’d highly suggest also playing acoustic along with it. You’ll be a lot better guitar player if you do it that way. That’s what I did when I first started playing 21 years ago and it’s something I recommend doing for absolute beginners like yourself
