Welcome to my new series Self Care with Jackie Aina. I created this series because I love all things self-care, and as a big advocate of self-care, I'm always curious to see different routines and try something new for myself!

I also practice self-care in the kitchen. Cooking is an outlet that helps my mental health tremendously, as well as an indicator when things my symptoms are flaring. I have a slightly ignored blog where I explore that connection! I also love that Jackie is doing this series. Since self-care has exploded into the mainstream, some people conflate self-care with pampering. Typically, self-care is also about bringing yourself into balance, improving peace, and refilling our cups.

Lol I love both of ya'll in the kitchen. Definitely giggled the whole time watching this ❤ but girl, what's your beef with almond milk or any other milk alternative? I gave up dairy years ago and I love using cashew milk or coconut milk to make creamy pasta dishes or smoothies

thanks for watching 🥰 I didn’t like smoothies at all until recently when I realized they all aren’t milky/frothy and thick. that’s why I don’t use milk. I also don’t like coconut. As long as it’s simple ingredients like a few fruits (the ones I like), and sometimes maybe a little agave that’s good enough for me.
