I felt like it would've worked because it is Cyrus actually standing up to Bling in front of Everyone and calling Him out and giving Him a taste of His own medicine. Because this scene is Him simultaneously insulting Himself while being Proud of His lyrics. Not to mention Bling saying "You should walk around in some high heel shoes, You should rock pig tails and a skirt" is kind of a Callback/Reference to Cyrus saying "My Apron looks like a dress" and "I'm a Princess" Not to mention that Bling does say "So You a rapper now, oh?" Because Cyrus never actually went on stage in front of the crowd until Then and They didn't know that He was Truth until that night AND Bling does say "Here we go again" to Cyrus in the last Rap Battle of the movie. I personally think that it would've worked perfectly

I mean the film is based off the story Cyrano de Bergerac and there is a similar sequence in it where the character's nose was getting roasted by others. He basically says that he could come up with better roasts than they could and proceeds to do so. In terms of the story that Let It Shine adapts, it fits. But for the narrative of Let It Shine, I understand what you mean. I still feel the film would've been as popular as it is now if they included it.

While I do like this scene I can understand why they removed it considering this was at the 11 minute mark and showed us that Cyrus would have absolutely destroyed Bling if he got over his stage freight and Bling would have literally nothing to roast Cyrus about because anything he could come up with Cyrus would have already admitted to it proudly. Similar to how in 8 Mile Rabbit won the final rap battle because he admitted to every flaw that Papa Doc was going to say about him so when it was his turn to diss him he couldn't say anything.

Obvious foreshadowing Bling vs Cyrus rapping at the end but also some of the things they said get used again in a similar way. Bling says he's lost his mind then latter says he has a screw lose; Cyrus says his apron looks like a dress and he should twirl like a princess then calls himself a waitress, to which Bling later says he should wear pigtails and a skirt, not to mention Cyrus last line saying he just served Bling; Cyrus says he's skinny enough to hide behind a pole and Bling says he's so lightweight he a gus can blow Cyrus over; and Cyrus says he dissed himself and that Bling couldn't, then later Bling says if Cyrus was him he still couldn't diss Bling.
