you can get on yellow alert when some one walks up to you with UNCOVERED container. or uncovering it while walking. that will filter out most false alerts

With acid it's very important to have a bottle of water so you can rinse your face and eyes and get it off of you, you only have 15 minutes to get it off of you even if you have to strip your clothes off right where you are because it was soaked into your system and it can kill you and will kill you if you have more than 25% of your body covered in acid. That's why it's always very important to carry a bottle of water with you even if it's in your car or somewhere close actually more than a bottle of water more like a gallon there's been several people that have died from acid when car battery blows up and it gets their clothing soaked. It will be fatal if not taken care of immediately.

True. A friend of mine had battery acid get right in his face. He rushed to the bathroom and rinsed and rinsed and rinsed til he could see.

This kind of attack might not happen regularly in america, but it happens a lot in the UK. I work with some very concentrated acids in the lab and if you receive acid on you, you need to act fast. Thankfully, the solution is simple: water. The first thing you want to protect are your eyes. As for skin, you only have to pour water on it. It will disolve the acid and make it less dangerous. If you are a tourist in the UK, you should always carry a bottle of water on you. If someone throws liquid in your face; close your eyes and pour the water on your face. Then go to a water source and keep pouring water on yourself.
