Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C. H. Spurgeon.

Thank you for reading these sermons. Sadly, it is difficult to find a church with this kind of preaching today. Preachers today avoid using the s word (sin) and the r word (repentance) in their sermons and warnings about self deception and hell, fearing they will offend someone, so the only speak of God being loving and merciful. My husband and 2 of my children are deceived , the other 3 indifferent I gave them Spurgeon's book, Jesus Came to Save Sinners, and Paul Washer's book, The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Can y'all please pray that God will be pleased to save them, to regenerate their hearts, and put His Spirit in them?

One of my favorite Pastors. I think the crux of the Christian faith may be determined by examining ourselves. This concept seems difficult to us (or at least it has to me), because there isn't an included "test" within the Scriptures that makes it so plain. However, there are relevant questions noted throughout the New Testament or statements by the writers, as to the effect or lack there of, that the Holy spirit has had on our lives. Romans 10:8-10, is a great place to start: "8 But what does it say? ‘The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,’[d] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 if you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." Unfortunately, I think the sin that so easily entangles, to which the writer refers to in Hebrews 12:1, hinders us from running our race effectively: "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us," I believe this sin he speaks of, could likely be "doubt"; it is a dangerous web that has tremendous power over our walk when we entertain it.

Let us test and examine ourselves, if we are still in the faith. Now is the time for self examination,when the world is carving out their own righteousness which is far from truth or far away from GOD's holy world. Let's hold fast and firm our profession and stand firm on our confession. The word of GOD, is the truth and the way. Jesus is the only one who could safe. The new world order is never meant to lead to GOD, but self satisfaction which can only lead to self soul destruction. The righteousness of GOD, is the perfect guarantee for salvation of our soul. Christ is our righteousness.

So after all that he said believe and be baptised I don't really get it either we believe and be baptised not to mention repent, but yet he talked for almost an hour about how people who already believed and were baptised are going to hell????? Help someone.

John Dean There are many people that are baptized brother. But he’s talking about the water baptism. We can go down in the water & cone back up the same way with no change but yet live as though christ wasnt our head(worthy of hell because We havent submitted to God).. thats what he meant. But if we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, now thats a different story. John 3-Remember when Jesus went through this conversation with nicodemas
