honestly i appreciate moe a whole lot. talking to kapil seems intimidating bc his way of thinking is unconventional and fresh. moe persists in talking to kapil and each time kapil squeezes out something new and profound. i listen to these all the time. love these conversations. keep at it moe!

Moe is operating from the thinking mind and Kapil keeps having to correct him it’s a little comical but I love it.

Regret is just another thought. Anxiety is just another thought. Wishing someone acted differently is just another thought. Indecision is just another thought. In stillness and presence there are no thoughts. All your “problems” disappear. You will know what to do when you need to do something. Let spirit guide you. Let stillness be your home.

The degree of absence of thought is how we judge our progress on the spiritual path. Though Gupta doesn’t like “spiritual” it’s the same “freedom from the mind” he speaks of.

If the mind is active just notice it there is no need to follow these thoughts. Know you have the power to access presence. Tap into presence and the rest will take care of itself. “Seek the Kingdom”

What is not clear to me is, does the idea of "prescriptions doesn't work" applies to only enlightenment? I remember Kapil mentioning that prescriptions doesn't work to any creative tasks (apart from riding bicycle etc). In my experience, I do believe that prescriptions have a made a difference in me. That's why bit confused. Thanks for the podcast, big fan of Kapil here.

Why does Kapil says nobody else apart from Buddha got enlightened? In Jainism, there are Tirthankaras (one who achieved supreme wisdom). In Hinduism, there are many people likes of Shridhar Swami, Ramakrishna Paramahanma. They all have proposed their own way to attain Moksha (state beyond the cycle of birth & death). I haven't heard anyone else mention this idea of NOT following prescriptions.

No prescriptions is a prescription, go find out for yourself. Dont take Kapil's word for it. Follow their how to's and step-by-step guides on how to attain enlightenment and see where it takes you.
