Brilliant Dale, this has really given me food for thought. I am based in Europe so cannot used ACX thus was looking for an alternative and came across Author Republic. Now l am definitely going to check out "find a way voices" first before l commit to anything, cheers 👍

I'm new to ebook (audio books) publishing, but an old hand at music publishing. As for YoutTube, its a search engine in its own right, and my music aggregators upload to YT automatically. All good, on regular YT. The problem is its uploaded to an aggregate page, the dreaded TOPIC page, where comments are turned off (not good to grow a community). The work around for this is to write to YT and ask them to move the audio/video from your TOPIC page to your artist page. Takes a while, but its doable. And if it gets enough views...you get royalties. But..YT is the lowest paid royalty platform out there. Its at best good for promo.

Australian authors are not allowed to publish their books on amazon audible, so we have no other choice but to go through authors republic, it’s unfair, acx only allow US,UK, Canada and Ireland to publish audiobooks.

I agree 100%. I'd recommend looking into Findaway Voices instead. The additional avenues on AR are hardly worth sacrificing your earnings to go to Findaway Voices. Go directly to FV and collect a bigger royalty.

SO... have there been any significant changes in Author's Republic in the last three years regarding your concerns on transparency and de-selection?

They have changed a few things, one being that you can select around three different distribution avenues. They're kind of in bulk. Now, that was last year when I looked. It could've changed since then. I will be covering them again this coming Spring. I hear a LOT of positive comments about Author's Republic, so they must be doing something right.

Thanks for the video. Findaway Voices is the way to go for all authors and narrates in 2022 and hopefully beyond. Looking forward to all that Findaway Voices is in the process of doing with their Marketplace.Author's Republic doesn't make any sense economically for authors. They seems like they are operating much like those at ACX with their lack of transparency - #Audiblegate Thanks again for the video.
