I feel uncomfortable and resentful of having to be nice to the people who are still hurting me. If they don't stop I'd rather not speak to them. I'm tired of being nice to these jerks.

It's completely understandable to feel that way. Setting boundaries is important for your mental well-being. You deserve to surround yourself with positivity!

All my life i prioritised other people's needs and happiness over mine. Today i am at a place where i need help, even the people i helped all my life are no where to be found. Even family abandoned me. And they still asking for my help even in my disadvantaged state.

@@danieltob6362 Hey Daniel, I encourage you to read legit Philosophy. I do it too. Philosophy helps like no other person, way better than those therapist with their ridiculous techniques! My suggestion is "Consolation to Marcia" by the Stoic philosopher "Seneca". Also, read and reflect on Bruce Lee's quotes (those are really motivational and philosophical, too). Do these reading & reflections repeatedly almost daily. (Be easy on yourself, even a paragraph per day would be enough and use them in real life.) Be blessed and be well.

I was an exceptionally intelligent, brilliant kid growing up around half-siblings. I got somuch envy and jealousy so i had to please them always thinking it would stop the jealousy and envy. It grew to become hate from them as we became adults. Now i no longer have a relationship with them. I am even scared being around them as i feel they could harm me.
