A good question to ask is how many fragments of the soulcrystal are there and where are they. We know of 2 so far(the one in the metro and the one in the mine). The one from the mine was taken by scorpion 7 and I presume it's the one in the secret lab area. special theory time! Perhaps the tunnels were not blown up to keep the virus from spreading but to hide the crystal fragment. Also the cryo sleep mentioned in the lab note. I think this is in reference to the aliens the crashed in Washington. This is a stretch but it could also be the ancient tribe members. Food for thought.

Nah it's an informatical problem. The only way you can add this barricade in the map will make it salvageable for players. Workshop creators can't do otherwise

I'd say for you to NOT USE A HORDE BEACON if you want to teleport to the lab. It might take longer but getting around 20 zombies from the streets of St Petersburg and walking them all the way down is much safer. Not that I've used a Horde Beacon to do this when you get back from the lab you teleport back to the Soulcrystal Room which either way will still have the zombies you didn't kill before you left but if you don't use the beacon it means that there are less zombies to kill before you leave the metro right? Also Horde Beacons if I remember correctly spawn 100 zombies that are a combonation walker, sprinter and crawler zombies and an additional mega zombie.

Actually you don't need a horde beacon, you just need to kill zombies near the crystal. A horde beacon is the easiest way to do it if you ignore the fact that it is hard to craft one, but you can just aggro some zombies near the crystal and kill them to activate it.

Why do people keep saying you need a horde beacon? You don't, the horde beacon just makes it much harder. All you have to do it lure zombies in there normally and kill them. You could do the whole easter egg with only a flashlight if you wanted.
