Great video Rob. Love the americano use of the word “blocks” instead of streets when you were estimating the distance to Selfridges. In keeping with the USA theme, I thought you would have referenced the Mickey Rourke 80’s classic film, the Year of the Dragon, when you went to get something to eat…”It isn’t the Bronx or Brooklyn, it isn’t even New York. 5:00 I picked up the bi-metal version here in the UK from an AD whilst walking past - it was for sale in the window a couple of months ago. I have seen the full yellow gold version for sale in ADs around the UK too but I've also seen it for sale in an AD abroad (they had over 110 pieces in stock including 3 x the full yellow gold GMT on Jubilee) - with the tax saving, it came to around £30,000, some £5000 cheaper than buying from the UK.

Could you help me understand why someone would choose to buy a watch in the UK when they can get it for 15-20% less in places like Lisbon, Dubai, or Tokyo, where you can even negotiate with the dealers for a better deal? Selfridges isn’t what it used to be in the '90s and 2000s-it’s as crowded as Borough Market. And while the watch floor might be less busy, the selection there is quite limited.
