This is my favorite song of his. From the moment it began I had goosebumps. Just incredible.

Farida´s voice hasn´t lost none of its inherent beauty ,mournful quality. Actually, judging by this performance alone I think she would do justice to her brother if she had the conditions in her life to continue his life project ,exposing the best version of her /her brother´s band she possibly could across Europe for people who never had the chance to witness one of their "Rituals" as Selim used to call their performances. I was very skeptical going into this, Selim being absent and everything - Farida´s proved me wrong - she could do this decentely if she wishes to . Long Live Selim Lemouchi & his enemies / The devil´s blood !

Farida has stated that she is not going to bring the devil's blood back to life ever . She said something like what's in the past , belongs to the past . From a point I really do get her point . Unfortunately I had the chance to see The devil's blood back in the day but I was really young at the time and to be honest , I didn't even know them then . Stupid young me ...

It touches me to see so many fans and admirers who have obviously been moved by something, we each take part somehow, as fans no less, of being good sterwards of Selim's legacy. Yes Farida could continue her part but I undrstand why she doesn't. She no doubt feels her brothers pain sometimes. Even i feel it. That's why it's better and more precious in the past.

@@Chief-Solarize You are right ... perhaps . You know , I found Ghost and The Devil´s Blood pretty much months between one another , to be honest with you I , at 1st , enjoyed ´Opus eponymous ` a whole lot more than ´ Come , reap ` ... one day I get home , and don´t ask why I decided to put ´Come , Reap ` on ... a question lingered in my head : ´ How the hell have I been rating Ghost above THIS ... this is probably the most passionate, intense heavy Metal music to have came out the last decade ... at least . ` ... yeah , 2nd or 3rd time I listen to ´come , reap ` I was simply stunned by its beauty, class and sophistication ... as for Ghost ... well, my flirtation ended soon after that debut ( not to get much into it ) .

@@saraivatoledo1842 I like ghost too. Especially the acoustic arrangements. Yesterday was a fun day for me. I stayed home all day and listened to TDB and to Selim interviews. I really enjoyed it. Take care Saraiva!!!

@@Chief-Solarize Yeah , they have a solid fanbase . I can´t bring myself to enjoy their albums after ´Opus eponymous ` though - doesn´t mean sh*t , just a matter of opinion and taste , and I obviously appreciate some of their song writing here and there but seldom as a whole after that debut . Latter just hinted at something which did never materialize for me . For instance , try as others may , an album such as ´ The Thousandfold Epicentre ` is probably ´ The ` Heavy metal record of the last decade(s) . Nice convo , glad you´re having fun cause some negative shit I´ve been dodging for years and years is surfacing in this ´social confinement `scenario where you have to be , share the same space with the same people most the time - even when you go out , it´s complicated to come up with excuses to go out on my own and do things which I never thought meant this much to me ... oh well , cathartic I guess , adaptation to a new reality is how I ´m trying to look at it . All I ´m 100% sure with this crap is that my freedoms have suffered a major blow . lol, look at that reply , man , sorry , got lost in some offtopic musings which I should take to my shrink instead of emptying it on a reply regarding a band ... wtf , haha .
