The case looks great. I'll stick with my GB PRO PWR E.

Great paddle! If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

I played with the power air and then switched to the 006. The 006 sweet spot is much better. I’m eager to try the 007 and see if it fills a gap between the power air and 006. Has anyone here played both 007 and 006?
@JJPickleball2 күн бұрын
@@CleverCarson I have played all 3. The 007 is basically a better power air. Sweet spot is the same as the power air. Plays very different than the 006.

Thanks! I ordered the 007 14 but I’m thinking I should also try the 10mm as well. Whats your primary paddle?
@JJPickleball2 күн бұрын
@@CleverCarson the thrive Azul, Joola Mod TA 15, and the unreleased Proton series 3. The 10 mm hits much harder than the 14 mm but the 14 mm has a slightly better sweet spot

Ordered a 14mm invikta on the 29th. Still says “order received”. Still hasn’t shipped and website says “Sold Out” now.

@@JJPickleballGreat review though, I like how someone who actually used the Power Air for awhile gave their feedback vs people who mainly play widebodies.

Yes loved my power air for a long time. I do think there are better options out on the market nowadays, but if that paddle is still your main then this paddle will feel very familiar with increased performance and hopefully durability like they are claiming.

I’ve been using the power air for the past two years and really like it. I’m due for an upgrade. Should I upgrade to the 007? Or am I missing out with these new gen 3 paddles. I’ve been playing over 7 years and have only played with Selkirk paddles. I wouldn’t mind switching to another company. Do you suggest any paddles coming from the power air?
@JJPickleball4 күн бұрын
Almost any gen 2 or gen 3 paddle will have a significantly better sweet spot. I loved Selkirk paddles, but once you switch it’s hard to go back. The 007 is a good upgrade but at a big price point. I would say look at the paddleteks or the gen 3s. Honestly if you could demo some paddles that is always best.

@ thanks for your response! I think playing with the power air made me a better player. It taught be to have soft hands at the net and resets since it has a board like feel. I come from a badminton background so I’m used to high end racquets having smaller sweet spots. I actually don’t mind the sweet spot on the power air after adding led tape. I would love to demo other paddles but unfortunately I live in Canada and that’s not an option.

@@stroshow5check Pickleball centrals return policy for Canada. I know they allow 30 day returns and you don’t get a refund per se but they allow you to get store credit back to get another paddle. A paddle that I actually really enjoyed and I think played similar but had a better sweet spot, good power, and was carbon fiber is the diadem edge 18k. Just for another paddle to look at.

If you have to,adjust a lot to a paddle. The paddle isn’t the right paddle for you
@JJPickleball4 күн бұрын
I somewhat agree with this, but with some push back. I come from a golf background and there’s always a small adjustment period because the look and feel of something new is always going to be slightly different, and if you are dialed into your old equipment anything new will feel slightly different. Also, most people may not be playing with the best shape for them or best paddle. Theres no true paddle fitting like there is in golf. Now where I do agree is if it’s a big change then the paddle is most definitely not for you.

It's a Power Air 2.0 with longer lasting spray grit & titanium. What an absolute let down. 🙂↔️
@JJPickleball3 күн бұрын
Basically. The new grit is really the only positive, and we will have to wait and see if that holds up.
