Catherine, excellent instructor you are. Taking advice from one of the very best in the game with examples, reasons for, and drills is worth so much. Time and money are valuable and these types of short but substantive lessons are something I did not have as a tennis player in the 1980s.

That in the kitchen volley drill is really clever. Focusing on recovering to ready position and volley technique/speed. Great way to practice, thanks!

Great tip, the idea of catching the ball (without the paddle) is a good lead up progression. Most of the time the player in orange was waiting for the BH volley with the paddle tip facing 9 o’clock. I have seen this is a very common habit and tough to break,, to being ready at 11 o’clock like suggested

Favorite video so far. Info about the ball coming at you and using the backhand. Hearing someone say and explain percentages and the reason we need to use compact swings. Thanks

I just realized i have been holding my paddle at 3 o'clock level instead of 11 o'clock level. really makes a difference at 11 o'clock level.

@@kevincafaro8846 😳 I believe you don’t have nice opponents nor nice teammates, I would have given you an advice (after asking you IF I may give you one of course)… And correct your 3 o’clock position. 😊

How do I drop my teammate right before a tournament and have them not get mad at me?
@k-mac5511

It not likely to happen. Especially if you play in the tournament with another partner. You should honor your commitment. Be true to your word.

@@k-mac5511 it’s a passive aggressive comment. That’s literally what she did, she dropped her partner and teamed up with someone better. lol
