@James - do you get any bonuses for being ranked #2 overall for the tournament? Thanks for all you do. Still on the road to 4.0 and 4.5. Your content helps A TON!

A little push back on choosing to keep player back. Everything depends on level when it comes to teaching. I work only with beginner and advanced beginners the deeper shot works better for developing a at the feet shot. Most don’t have the kill shot that most higher level players are adept at hitting. That comes with more play and advanced teaching.

Love the Pod man! Really, REALLY good stuff. I learn lots and looking forward to seeing you @ KC MLP/PPA in August! I would like to get your experience/opinion on two things: 1. Do you quickly squeeze-grip your paddle right before you hit return of serves/further drives (?) and then quickly release, or keep the grip consistent from backswing until follow-thru throughout the entire motion of the swing? 2. What's your opinion on wall drills? (Any and all) Do they help or hurt from your past experiences in practicing? Thank you!

Thanks so much for watching man! I do quickly squeeze the grip right before (and during) contact on those shots. But most of my focus is on my legs, since most of the power is coming from the legs. I don’t usually use the wall for drilling. I think the wall is helpful for 4.5 and below though.

The 2 funny ones I have seen have been good so I would say include some funny ones once in a while. The coaching content mis the best in my opinion and why I watch your content. I have learned things from you that other very good utube coaches have not covered. This episode is a perfect example.

Thank you so much! The coaching content will always be first and foremost!

I love the format of your pod James. It feels like we are sitting at the table getting tips from a friend/coach. Your tips are easy to understand and visualize to practice later. I volunteer at local spca and while playing fetch with the dogs I use the wading pool for them as a target to practice “tossing” for drop shots.😊. The IG “funny” posts were great. You and team have great sense of humor. I also said hello to you at Sacramento tournament and you were very nice but I respect yours and the other pros’ privacy (knowing you are on a mission there) and keep hellos brief. Anna was actually sitting a couple seats from me in ViP area and I just smiled but she was very gracious to another lady who asked to have her paddle signed. For a young man you are very genuine, polite and professional. Big fan of you and Anna- will always cheer you two on and tune into your coaching tips.

I couldn’t appreciate this comment more! Thank you so much! Tossing the ball is always good practice for the drop!

Thanks for the coaching content. My favorite part. Good stuff. I typically do hit to the opponent that is futher back so looking forward to trying out hitting to the one closer up. Makes a lot of sense.

I checked your IG, I don't see any recent "funny" video, you should link it in the vid description

I don’t do the vid descriptions for these. I just record and Josh / Collin handles the rest haha. It’s the pinned backhand flick video on my coaching Instagram account. Should be 2nd or 3rd.

Good content and coaching tips as always. Consider doing a clinic in eastern Pennsylvania. Play singles you are too good not to play all the events. You have the potential to win a triple crown.

Thank you! I think he was just upset because we kept lighting him up. But he’s a good kid!
