I understand the sentiment with some players having a half decent season but lets be obvious about our defence, without Dawson we were left wanting. So to see mostly green is not an option. Sell to buy and I think either Ait-Nouri or Semedo or both go to bring in the cash to strengthen and at least one is red. Toti Santi and Hugo all are squad and we must buy first class defenders to bolster the ranks and show them the way.

27 players played minutes for us in the Premier League in the 2023/24 season (10 of whom played more than 2000 minutes), in 2022/23 that number was 32 (and only 5 - Sa, Kilman, Semedo, Neves and Nunes - played more than 2000 minutes!). Interesting statistics when we all, quite rightly, bemoaned the thinness of this season's squad. Perhaps that suggests that our fall off in form in the latter part of the season was due to players having played too many minutes and being tired and stale. Because we need to bolster the squad with numbers and making expensive new signings seems dependent on sales, this close season's ins and outs are pretty impossible to predict. If strong bids come in for any player I can see us selling. And who knows which of the myriad of rumoured interests we reportedly have in players will come to fruition or what signings we'll make "out of the blue"? So I think you are right that both Sa and Kilman are possible targets for bids we can't afford to ignore. I like them both and would prefer to keep them, but this is the real world. In my eyes they are both undervalued by many of our fans. Ait-Nouri we should really try to keep hold of, he is a great asset and very adaptable. Ideally I'd like to see us incorporate both Mosquera and Hoever, as they would be equivalent to two new signings, but so much depends on their attitude about returning to Molineux and contributing with determination and commitment. One thing it is impossible to assess from a supporter's point of view, is the impact a player has on the dressing room. Are they a team player, an asset to the squad or are they a disrupter and a problem? Mostly player egos are kept under wraps, away from exposure to the media and what we get to hear are bland, public relations statements from the club. Jonny must have crossed way over the line last season in his behaviour. Take Matt Doherty for example (and I've no reason to select him in particular!). If his presence in the dressing room is exceedingly positive in encouraging, advising and coaching younger inexperienced players then retaining his services ia a no brainer. If he's constantly moaning about not getting a starting XI place and causes disruption then that's an influence we could do without. dylanwolf in the billyq.

Keepers. I think I'm in agreement. Not against upgrading any of them if the opportunity arises, but also if they're our 3 next season I'm fine with it. Kilman is a dilemma. I think if you're keeping him, there's an argument that if you take the captaincy off him and he'll be better for it. But that would be a big call to make. Hoever is one I think could have a bit of a second coming. He's definitely matured, is creating and scoring goals and I think he could be a surprise breakthrough Wolves player of next season, as they said though "IF" he wants to be here.

Kilman is a liability for mine. Too slow, makes errors, certainly not a captain. Dawson different class. Our form has been awful since he’s been out. Get a decent offer for Kilman, take it.

For a team whose number 1 issue is depth. For all our (development, not bad attitude) players who have been out on loan. I wouldn't loan them out again. A few have been on loan spells for a couple of seasons now. I would make this coming season where they have to come good. It would immediately fill out our bench. They'll get game time. And we'll get see what their made of - to develop further or know to sell a year from now. We need more players but don't have the money - it time to get something out of the investments we've already made.

Personally I’d loan lembikisa & hoever, sell toti and keep the rest. I see Mosquera as toti’s replacement, from what I’ve seen he’s a good player and offers something completely different at the back. A back 3 of Mosquera Dawson and kilman has potential to work imo. When you consider we supposedly have limited funds (embarrassing) I don’t see how player for player we improve on what we already have without spending decent money. I’d love to improve on our defence in an ideal world I just can’t see fosun spending the required money to take us to the next level. Any money we have should be first prioritised on a striker.

Toti is fine as a squad player , we need to rotate more to reduce burn out. I would keep Hoever for the same purpose.He had a good season last year.

Kilmans a good player and occasionally a very good player, its not the player thats the issue it's the character… he needs a stronger character next to him to shine and we can’t afford to carry that. I’m at the stage now where I’d take the money if we could get a good price. If he stays though he should lose the captaincy, it doesnt fit him and I’d much rather see Dawson or even Lemina get it.

This series seems to be based on financial considerations primarily. For example Ait-Nouri has to stay if we have ambition, and any player can be replaced if we are offered silly money.

Goalkeeping wise I think we need to be concerned with a shot stopper. Love Sa and how aggressive he is. Like what happened with man united when they got a ball playing keeper.

And I think people forget we only paid 7 or 8 million for Sa which is an absolute bargain if you ask me. How many keepers for that price are as good as Sa? 👍

We can sell Bueno if we know Ait Nouri's exit is inevitable. Either keep both for another season or loan out Bueno and bring in a more experienced player to play behind Ait Nouri.

This is the last TalkingWolves vid I will watch following the ticket price rise, I am done with football. Fosun have abandoned the ordinary working class people of Wolverhampton, a spit in the face to each and every person who perhaps struggles day to day but their one thing to look forward to is Wolves, and a passion they hand down to their children. But in general the wages, VAR, the behaviour of UEFA and FIFA, football has lost its head and I have had enough. spot on mate, they dont give a shit about the working class side of the fanbase and havnt for years (they moved all the kids soccers schools over to staffordshire/shropshire as far back as the 90s where the £ was). done with it myself, sadly they know that for every working class fan that hands his season ticket in, they have a waiting list of more affluent fans from the shires that will soon snap them up. clubs losing local identity, void of characters and the atmospheres at games is flat as new fans bringing different energy. they risk losing an whole generation of younger fans who struggle to get tickets as it is, especially away tickets which seem to be a closed shop to older fans with a bit of £.

Sell Silva, Guedes, Podence, Hoever and Sasa. Kilman and Sa can go if the money is right. We need quality defender(s), creative midfielders and probably two decent strikers and perhaps a winger. Adams will be ok as a squad man. Presumably some of the other loans like Mosquera and Chiquinho will come back for pre season and might impress O’Neill. If Sa goes maybe Ramsden as a replacement. If we can keep Neto, Ait Nouri and Gomes ( unless money is ridiculous ) we can build on what we’ve got for next season.

The implication that the backline is worse with Bueno instead of Dawson is just moronic. Dawson was ok at the start of the season but had a huge drop off prior to his injury and he can only get worse. The squad would be much worse if we had Kilman and Dawson.

Sa can leave for more than we paid. Kilman is not a captain. Not vocal enough. Neves was always respectfully in the referee's ear. Since he was handed the armband, his form has dipped. If he needs his hand held and cannot play in a back four, he may need to leave for good money. Semedo, Silva, Podence, Hoever can leave. If we are offered 50m+ for Neto, I think we accept. He's box office when fit, but his fitness is an issue. Wretched injury record. We need players who can play close to a full season if we are to genuinely improve on last season. Shrewd recruitment will be key this summer
