Any news on that defender we need, particularly Elvedi ? €10m fee until end July seems a no brainer for mine. Another striker will be needed if Channy goes ( £30m + yes ) and rumours around Adams still persist. Wish we could get rid of Guedes, Silva, Sasa sooner than later.

Hi Dave, I like the concept of being able to swap, in game, between a back 4 and a back 5. The squad being comfortable with a flexibility of formation, within matches even, is a big plus when it comes to managing games. It has its risks in demanding a lot of the players understanding and them executing diverse roles within the 90 minutes and naturally it won't always work. Poor Gary will come in for lots of criticism when it doesn't if he changes formation for the last twenty minutes and a result slips away. But, on the positive side it means teams can't just do their homework on our formation and easily negate us because we only play one way. Interesting that Hwang was given the captaincy for the second half, if he has agreed terms with l'OM. That seems to pull in two different directions as to what will happen. I'm not a huge fan of Hwang's, but I'd prefer we did keep him, unless the fee reaches £30m, in which case I think it would be difficult not to do the deal. I'm not persuaded that Podence getting physical shows allegiance - I think it rather highlights Daniel's weakness in allowing emotion to take over when things get a bit tasty. It would have been more sensible to not have given Como any excuse for their lukewarm castigation of the alleged racism. Throwing a punch, if that is what he did, does not help and is inexcusable. I disagree with the fans who think it shows loyalty to Hwang. Disappointing and shaming that Como did not condemn the racism out of hand. Is Podence going to stay? I really do hope so, if Gary O'Neil gets him enthused about playing here, then we know he can be an excellent player and a tricky forward to handle. Likewise with Chiquinho and Mosquera. It's all to do with the player's attitude, in my opinion, do they want to be here? Guedes is a better player than we have seen. If he is up for another chance at Molineux, then I think it might be worth looking at and assessing his current abilities and performances in pre-season. I'd also like Talking Wolves to provide a little coverage of the ladies' team. Is anyone out there a regular attendee, who would contribute to Talking Wolves I wonder. Can a free-kick strategist improve our performance at throw-ins too? Defending throw-ins and taking advantage of throw-ins, I think, are important tactics that get a bit overlooked. Quick throw-ins and accurate, clever throw-ins need exploiting (for) and defending tightly (against). I think as interesting as who we are looking to sign, it's just as interesting to see who we will keep. Players like Santiago Bueno can be like new signings with a good pre season under their belt. The Podence situation is also very interesting, Podence is a fantastic footballer as long as his attitude is correct.

Hwang is a £10-15m player, but as mad as it sounds due to his commercial benefits in South Korea he is a £35m-40m player for Wolves.

The tabloids are reporting on mosquera being the heir to Kilman. I find this bizarre. Simply put - mosquera is right footed. I still think Hobbs will attempt to sign a left sided centre half with mosquera rotating with Dawson. Bueno is also naturally right footed

Not happy with the squad depth. Gary needs at least 3-4 more quality players. Before sales that is. I just dont see how we improve on our 14th place finish last season with a thread bare squad and kilman could be difference between relegation and survival. Couple of injuries again and wolves fosun up shit creek again.

Kilman has no quality. Toti and Bueno are top tier and people need to accept that. Dawson should've at minimum been dropped in December. He should be leaving the club now as Mosquera is back and we should get a left footed back up for Toti. Toti and Bueno were great and are starters. Kilman and Dawson were the problem in transition and when defending counter attacks.

Agree with the quality defender ( Elvedi, Carmo type ) and creative midfield additions. The latter harder to find.

What about podence he needs to be included such great player and you’ve just mentioned Neto for me top two attacking names on the team sheet when fit and in the right frame of mind???
