Bro honestly after watching Pain break this down live in Beatclub, the next couple days I purposefully sat in my car listening & counting the bars of about 200 songs of different genres ranging from African Gospel to Bachata and from Hip Hop to Salsa. Its been so helpful! Now I can actually visualize how producers are breaking it down into either 4, 8 & 16 bars; it never really made sense to me before, but it finally clicked and I now have a clear vision of how to properly structure a track. Thank you for being such a great educator Pain! 😎🤘

Way more then just how to structure man, you threw in some gold advice here! I never even thought about changing the dynamics of the samples with fx, usually i change how active and intense the 808 and drums are to signal the change from verse to bridge to chorus. Nice tips man, I really enjoyed this.

Thank you for sharing Sir...Do you find its better to start with a chorus instead of a verse after the intro?
@DJPain15 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the beat. When there's a chorus already written, I start with it just to showcase it and set the tone/theme for the song for the artists who is listening, but if it's just an instrumental, I go with feel.

Thank You. Because I've purchased alot of beats from producers and the structure was way off or they didn't have any. And one thing that the internet tricks you on is that some beat websites only play like 20 seconds of the beats so you don't know how it's structured. Sometimes I don't have time to talk to the producer, I just want to grab the beat and go about my day.

laze mz laze mz there’s no way that the bars counted are longer on trap beats because they say less words, that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard lmao. It’s because the tempo of trap is faster.

And thank you so much for dropping so much amazing knowledge on us about the music and business side of things, really appreciate it man. Hey, I was curious, do you use many drum loops in the beats you make? If so, how do you do your stems for those, do you just send the drum loop all together as one stem, or do you separate the kick, snare and hi-hats some how and create three (or more) individual stems? Thanks again, keep dropping gems on us! ✌🏿
