It is absolutely *DISGUSTING* to 1) Amazon allowong using other people's work on their ads, and 2) that YOU "teaching" this DISGUSTING feature!! 🤮😡

Using someone else's name as a keyword is standard practice since forever. Someone might type in "Steven King type novel" when they want to discover something new. Or if you've bought a King book, Amazon would know to serve up ads of books with "Steven King" as a keyword... meaning they are similar and people might also enjoy this book. They aren't placing his name or works IN their ads!

Amazon will terminate your account if you use someone's trademark title or name in your title or in the seven backend keywords. The ONLY place you are allowed to use a competitor's trademarked name and/or book title is when you are running ads. Competitors always target their marketing enemy's customers to steal them away. This is standard practice. It's up to the customer once the ad is run. But you definitely can't use their works in your title, subtitle, or back-end keywords unless it is a generic term like "Soccer Journal for Kids." Then you can use that.
