The daily intake is based on the number of days per month you have set. IIRC, you are set to 2 days per month. Do the math on 24 days and you'll find that works.

Great episode preparing for the annual crop sale and payoff. Also agree that using excess cash from collectables to expand is a great idea. Just a note on the forage wagons, you can hover a bale over the top, and it will incrementally take from that bale. Great for the odd size bales the game gives us that don't make an even mix ratio. 👍

Thankyou mate! Yeh I know about the bale hovering technique, very handy :) Glad you agree with the usage of the collectibles money, the ‘want’ to fritter it on shiny machinery was strong haha!

Rerouting the track around the edge of the new field wouldn't be too bad and can be done in game

Yeh did think about that, but with the surrounding fields all having alternative access’, I reckon I can just use as much of it as poss for arable. Time to get the plow out! :)

It's not harder to feed the cows with Maizeplus, just adding more recipes for TMR, with the young stock recipe you only need grass or maizesilage, hay and straw. The standard recipe is wholecrop silage and hay, can also add straw. They eat more, but the output is also higher. If you have silage bales, they will turn into wholecrop silage if you add maizeplus to your save, but the grass you wrap after adding maizeplus will be Grass silage.

With M+ and animal food additions you can customise what you want to feed the cows, or indeed any animals. 8:35

Aah yes. Maize Plus. That’s another one that I have yet to get my noggin round. So there’s that, Wardrobe Plus, and Giants Editor. This list is getting longer haha!!

If I remember correctly you can still make the 'base game' TMR if you have Maize Plus running. Feed mixers will let you cycle through recipes for various mixes and one of them should be the base of hay/silage/straw/mineral feed.

Brilliant thankyou Kimera, much appreciated! I’m still undecided wether I’ll run MP, as I need to read up on the various animal extension mods that add a load more to the animal side of this game. Lots of learning to do! :)

@@can5015 Basegame TMR actually fills all the bar for M+, basegame silage will be done with wholecrop instead of chaff or grass

Yeh I’ve got that mod too just haven’t got it running in this save. All the mods that add things to the animals I need to learn more about! :)

Haha I know I know, I’ve got GE, and I’ve opened it once or twice to try and learn how to add my logo to a truck. But good god that’s a different animal entirely.

Its not as difficult as it looks tbh i thought when 1st got it much same but theres not alot to the basics really. Ive made a now unrecogniseable elmcroft with grazing pastures and extra cow sheds etc makes it more entertaining to play😆
