So I dug out a 1976 Toro 7/26 Snowblower from beside the garage. It was 10” deep in the ground from sitting. Followed your vids for about a year now. Wife said I’ll never get it to run. Cleaned carb, got spark after setting points correct, got sweet spark and woke up the household lastnight revving her out.

That was the wrong battery for that application too, the correct one needs to have the poles reversed so that they face the cables. They're not designed to be stretched out to the back of the battery and be tightened at a weird angle like he did.

I have the exact pipe & tuner on my raptor 700. The tuner richens in 3 rev ranges. The green is basically idle. The orange light is middle revs & the red is top end. The number it’s on is the amount of fuel it’s adding in that rev range. When you see two of the green orange or red that is a half position. So if you wanna add a bit more fuel in the top end you could set the red light to 3.5 which would be the 3 & 4 blinking. The next set of blinking lights will be the green, orange & red with a blue light. This is the transition point in the rev range. You set it the same way you set the fuel. You have to do it when the bikes running & it takes some practice cuz it will turn the setting mode off rather quick

The repair chain, the logic path were exce..emit as always. I’m not a mechanic, but I have learned a lot by watching. The big take away here is your willingness to admit problems, specifically with integrity of sellers. People in general are honest. But when presented with a vehicle that isn’t right to sell, they sometimes victimize the buyer. Couple that with embarrassment and the whole situation devolves. Instead of centering your video on being screwed, you got to work fixing what you could, thereby cutting your loss of time & money. Way to dig out! I hope you follow through on the $1000 theft. That’s what it is. That guy needs to pay up.

Engineers should have to disassemble and re-assemble their creations to see why they don't design things certain ways. It's funny how when I go to sell anything on the internet, people want to offer 50% of the price, but when I go to buy things, no one wants to come down 50%. I don't even respond to those people any more.

As a nearly gratuated engineer, unfortunately we don’t get to design things based just on how easy they are to take apart and put back together. There’s also looks, size, weight, durability, cost to manufacture etc. If the average customer wanted something that’s easy to disassemble then that’s exactly what companies would still make, because at the end of the day the companies just want to make money.

Bought this exact quad off my step dad except for different colors. He bought it new and literally has maybe ridden it only on weekend trips maybe 3 or 5 times a summer to the badlands in attica Indiana which is actually where I live. It has less then 500 hours on it but I've went through everything just to make sure and upgraded what I wanted to here and there. Easily 100mph quad and scary as shit at anything over 75. Id honestly like to lower it just a tad and widen the stance so it doesn't feel like it's about to flip over. Its funny how finicky some quads are especially the bigger fancier ones. My first quad was a brand new Suzuki lt80. Either 95 or 96. My parents had gotten me for Christmas when I was 9 years old. It was 80cc and automatic with no gear selection just always in drive basically which I hated but it worked. My neighbor that year who was a year younger got one of the old late 70s style Honda 3 wheelers that was labeled as a 73cc 3 speed with reverse but obviously his was used. Still he would stop me with speed cuz mine had absolutely nothing when it came to power and could barely do a burn out in gravel and it's top speed without the governor was around 30mph. I drove it that way and I mean prolly well over 10 thousand miles just how much we rode after school. Without ever once doing anything to the engine aside from keeping it cleaned up and always running high octane fuel and Suzuki specific 2 cycle oil. Eventually I redid the carbs and figured out some stuff as I learned and it ended up actually having enough power to pull the front tires off the ground and do at least 45 to 50mph wound out like a banshee screaming. I never was brave enough to tear into anything but eventually found my way but even today I still am nervous and wouldn't do every thing that you make look so very very easy. Way to go and keep em coming slowly but surely we will watch every video you've posted!

I have the hmf tuner on my raptor 700. Basically the same tuner. Mine has 5 settings. Setting 1/green is idle and cruising enrichment, setting 2/orange is mid throttle enrichment, setting 3/red is full throttle enrichment. Setting 4/orange & blue changes the point at which it switches from the idle enrichment to mid throttle enrichment, and setting 5/red & blue changes the point at which it switches between the mid throttle enrichment and full throttle enrichment. Couldn't see where the map change points were, but enrichment looks like 3, 2.5, 3 for low, mid, and high. If a single number is lit, then that's the number, but if 2 are lit next to each other, then it's the .5 between them, for instance if 4&5 were both lit, then the setting would be 4.5 or four and a half.

Happy the quad wasn’t junk. I’m trying to learn bike mechanics. But I’m not sure about cams, and timing. You make it look so easy but putting back together doesn’t seem like something I can do, I’d love to be able to fix them like you do. I’d buy alot of cheap will not start bikes

I am old so I am not buying an atv- but riding with your camera attached made me feel like I was right there with you, awesome! How do you feel about about jumping over barrels on a motorcycle? : )

I have watched a lot of your videos in the last month or so and I'm impressed with your hard graft to get these machines up and running again, and you would put a lot of so called mechanics to shame bud, well done from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

First off, I love this channel! You do a great job of explaining and videoing what you are doing .I have a question, you seam to rev the throttle a LOT, after a major rebuild , Is this a “ Break in” technology or something else ( you just like that sound?) . It seams a bit excessive on a four stroke engine and harsh on a fresh rebuild.

I have a tuner on a 450 to fix the lean condition after uncorking. Works great. Always wanted one of these 700xx's

I've always thought Hondas were engineering marvels. You showed that they are not what they used to be. Curious, why are the rings so stiff? It's not a compressed engine. Great video you are so fun to listen to. BTW, I always take the feeler out when I tighten so I don t flatten it...

Always use the box end of a wrench when tightening final valve lash...the open end with round off the set nut leading to more issues down the road.

You need to get a plastic welder to fix the cracked fender. Best thing I’ve found. Look it up, very inexpensive.
