Just got a 2004 zr600 from marketplace, 500$ hasnt ran in 6 years. Guy kept it inside entire life. Went to go look at it, 3k miles, d&d aftermarket EVERYTHING. Kept my cool, handed over the 500$. Last night finally checked it out, everything was PERFECT. Carb had old ethanol and it was like cottage cheese. One carb clean and we now have a perfect running sled.

Awesome. I have a 2006 with the 800 liquid cooled. It developed a knock/ rattle sounding exactly like that. It turned out to be the primary clutch weights. Cheap enough for the rebuild kit. No more noise. It’s been 2 seasons since. Good luck

I bought a 03 rev last year, had to rebuild it only got 54km on it last year and this year probably get 10 if we're lucky lol. Winter is a thing in the past unless you go to the mountains or way up north...

Great video, subed. Judging by the Simonar Sports decal you must be somewhere in Wisconsin as well. At this rate we're not going to see any snow stick until January!

I have bought things on marketplace where people claimed they didn't work or wouldn't run like a 2012 crown Vic ex cop car with 70k on it with a so called blown trans. The shifter cable was stretched out put a new one in and drives like new. If I see post like that I ask if they've tried certain things but my gain their loss newest edition 2010 crv wouldn't start or stay running 500 dollars, new fuel pump and filter runs amazing

We bought a sled that was a race sled and the whole skids had to be replaced. Busted plastics. Cracked frame.

Sounds to me like that 550 has a plugged pilot jet. Running on one cylinder at idle and as soon as you give it gas it gets enough to run through the main jet.

i was teenager in 1980's i remember RM,YZ,CR,KX 80cc,125cc,250cc,500cc, when I was like 12-14 years old, I had CR80 and my friends had RM80 and YX80, when I was 16-17 years old, I got Honda 4 TRX 250r 4-wheeler, I buy it brand new, in 1986 4-TRX was only little over $2000 , I guess in mid 80's $2000 was a lot of money . in 1980's minimum wage was only $3.35 an hour, where i live in NY state minimum wage today is $15 an hour . $2000 in 1980's would be like $8000 today money I think

The original owner probably still owes money on it and reported it as stolen. People use stolen equipment for year before getting noticed by the cops.

Not the case here luckily! I got all the registration paperwork with it and had it transferred over to my name already.
